Nathan Bradley Wright, age 38, was arrested on the morning on June 19 for allegedly breaking into the Best Price Fireworks, next to Buffalo Wild Wings, causing significant damage to the store and stealing fireworks worth thousands of dollars.
Wright was arrested by Kokomo Police officers and charged with burglary, two counts of theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and two counts of neglect of a dependent.
The alleged burglary was caught on tape by the store's security cameras. That information was used to positively identify Wright as the suspect. Upon serving a search warrant at Wright's home, officers allegedly discovered the stolen fireworks, along with the illicit drugs.
Wright has a history of interactions with the criminal justice system. He currently is awaiting trial for a charge of theft with a prior conviction in Fulton County, and last year had charges of domestic battery and interference with the reporting of a crime dismissed.
In 2015, Wright pled guilty in Elkhart County to a charge of invasion of privacy.
