Blind Tiger Comedy gets local laughs
Local comic Jimmy Shaw hopes to bring comedy to Kokomo through open mic nights
After the past two years, Kokomo could use a laugh. The Blind Tiger Comedy Club is trying to help spread some laughter by allowing local and visiting comics to perform in front of a live audience. Local comic Jimmy Shaw who runs Blind Tiger started the group after another local club, the Laugh House, closed in 2015.

“I’ve always been interested in in comedy and making people laugh” said Shaw, whose day job is driving forklift at auto manufacturer Stellantis. A regular at the open mic night of the Laugh House, when they closed Shaw decided to make his own opportunity. “Having to drive an hour in any direction on a work night to do 5-6 minutes and having a family wasn’t worth it.”
