Bona Vista hosts Wagons and Wheels
Car show fundraiser draws big crowd to benefit childhood program
Bona Vista Programs filled its parking lot last week with loads of classic cars and vintage vehicles, all to raise money for a good cause.
The Wagons and Wheels Car Show was held on May 20. Dozens of competing cars were on display, vying for a spot in the People’s Choice Top 10. From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., visitors were able to choose their favorite ride, be it current and customized or antique.
Attendees also were treated to live music, food from Hawg Heaven, and a wagon parade. Attendance was free, but voting for the People’s Choice involved dropping a few dollars or spare change into bright green voting buckets in front of each vehicle.
All proceeds from the event will be used to benefit Bona Vista’s Early Childhood Program. The event’s lead sponsor was Chariot Auto Group.
