'Build shy' to blame for GM truck glut
Automaker continues to build vehicles during chip shortage; trucks won't be scrapped
General Motors has shone a little light on why so many of its incomplete trucks once again are calling Kokomo home.
Last week The Kokomo Lantern reported on the return of incomplete GM trucks being stored on the GM Holdings parking lots here in Kokomo. On Wednesday, Senior Communications Director Jeff Benzing contacted The Lantern to explain why the trucks had returned to Kokomo.
