Ivy Tech Community College is accepting applications for the 44th cohort of the Leadership Kokomo program.
Since 1982, Leadership Kokomo has been shaping tomorrow’s leaders today. The Leadership Kokomo program brings together a diverse group of existing and emerging community leaders and empowers them to become resourceful stewards of the community through four pillars: community education, core leadership development, supplemental professional development, and civic engagement through nonprofit board service.
The nine-month leadership development program is run through Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo in partnership with the City of Kokomo, Kokomo Thriving Center of Indiana Wesleyan University, and the Greater Kokomo Chamber of Commerce.
Participants will benefit from more than 100 hours of professional development within the nine-month program (August 2025 to May 2026) including more than 40 hours of core leadership training (Intrapersonal/self-leadership, group leadership, organizational leadership, and change management). The program also includes more than 45 hours of community engagement education. Participants are also given the opportunity to take advantage of more than 10 hours of supplemental and customizable leadership learning opportunities.
The cohort will meet every other Tuesday for half-day sessions (8 a.m. to 12 p.m.) with four scheduled as full-days (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
The cost for the program is $675, which includes LK course material, a full-day retreat at Camp Tecumseh (with lunch), StrengthsFinder 2.0 test code with professional training/coaching on StrengthsFinder, nationally recognized leadership trainers throughout the year, and more.
