The Kokomo Wildkats had little difficulty overcoming a strong Lebanon Tigers team on Dec. 10. Led by nationally lauded center Flory Bidunga, the Kats walked away with a win, 63-39.
Bidunga was a human highlight reel during the game, scoring 22 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and blocking a remarkable 12 shots for a triple-double.
Karson Rogers also came up big during the game, netting 16 points and 13 rebounds. He was joined by Zavion Bellamy with 8 points and 8 steals, Reis Beard and Patrick Hardimon with 6 points each, and Zion Bellamy with 5 points.
The Wildkats never trailed in the contest, jumping out to a 13-0 lead to start the game. Lebanon managed to pull within 6 points by halftime, 28-22, but Kokomo pulled away in the second half. In particular, the Kats’ defense held the Tigers to just 5 points in the final stanza to secure the win.
Kokomo has a tough home weekend coming up, hosting the undefeated 5-0 Marion Giants on Friday, Dec. 16, and the 4-2 Carmel Greyhounds on Sat., Dec. 17.
