On Sept. 3, 2024, Kokomo Police responded to Shoe Carnival located at 2148 Boulevard E. Boulevard on a report of a theft.
Complainant reported a female came inside the store and stole a pair of shoes without paying. Complainant also advised the same female entered the store on Aug. 28, 2024, and stole a pair of shoes. Store surveillance camera captured the person of interest leaving the business. She is described as a white female, possibly in her late 20s, with dark hair.
Kokomo Police is asking if anyone has information on the identity of the female, to contact 765-456-7017. You can always report tips anonymously by downloading the "Kokomo PD" mobile app from the iOS or Google Play stores. You can also text a tip to us by texting TIPKPD, then a space, and then your tip, and send it to 847411.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wildcat Guardian talks about creek’s history
Join Garry “Muskrat” Hill and fall in love with Wildcat Creek with the Greentown Historical Society! Wildcat Guardian and river activist Garry Hill will make a presentation Wed., Oct. 9, at Greentown Historical Society, 103 E. Main Street, Greentown, at 6 p.m.
Hill will talk about the history of the 82 miles of the Wildcat Creek, and associated canoe and kayak travels, as well as fishing activities. He has shared his knowledge of the Wildcat Creek almost since he started canoeing it 52 years ago.
Hill has started multiple clubs to paddle and protect the waterway, including the Wildcat Canoe Club in 1975 and the Wildcat Guardians in 1990. Shortly after forming the Wildcat Canoe Club, he discovered the Hoosier Canoe Club, and he is now a Life Member.
Garry also helped to start an Adopt-A-River program with DNR’s Division of Outdoor Recreation, which led to getting Wildcat Creek named an Indiana State Natural Scenic River.

Great Faith offers youth revival
Great Faith Christian Youth Center Church, 210 W. King St., will offer a youth revival, entitled “Catching Your Second Wind,” on Sept. 20-22.
The three-day event starts on Sat., Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m., hosted by Bishop Ramon Oglesby. It resumes on Sat., Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m., and finishes on Sun., Sept. 22, beginning at 11 a.m.
The featured guest speaker for this event is Pastor Karsean Jones of Detroit.
