KPD's Rodgers promoted to sergeant

Veteran officer entering 22nd year with the department

The Kokomo Board of Works and Public Safety on Jan. 26 accepted the promotion Kokomo Police Officer Chad Rodgers to the provisional rank of sergeant.

According to Kokomo Police Chief Doug Stout, Rodgers was hired by the Kokomo Police Department in 2000 where he served as a patrol officer. 

In 2002, he was assigned as a negotiator and member of the KPD Honor Guard.  Rodgers became a detective in 2008 through 2019 where he specialized in child sex crimes. He also has spent nine years as a Field Training Officer.
