Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library’s annual Rudolph Run.
Held each year in early December, the Rudolph Run is a family friendly 5K walk and run through downtown Kokomo. Each year, hundreds of participants compete for trophies in this fun, timed race. This year, the event will take place Saturday, Dec. 2. Doors open at 7 a.m., and the race begins at 8 a.m.
Trophies will be given to the fastest runners, fastest walkers and fastest stroller.
This year, the event will include reindeer games and a costume contest, so all participants are encouraged to wear holiday garb for a chance to win a prize. Prizes will be given to the best adult, child and dog costumes.
Registration is now open and can be done online at https://runsignup.com/Race/IN/Kokomo/KHCPLRUDOLPHFAMILYFUN5KRUNWALK . Registration must be completed by Nov. 1 in order to guarantee a t-shirt. The cost is $25 for adults, $15 for those 12 to 17 years old and free for children 0 to 11 years old. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome.
Packet pick-up will be Thursday, Nov. 30, Friday, Dec. 1, and Saturday, Dec. 2, before the event. For more information, contact Kayla Skiles at kskiles@khcpl.org.
