Simone Sylvelin Bruce
Simone Sylvelin Bruce, 63, Tipton, passed away at 12:45 pm Thursday April 13, 2023, at Waterford Place Health Campus in Kokomo. She was born February 5, 1960, in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of the late Werner & Claudia (Krause) Rietz. On November 25, 1982, in Berlin, Germany, she married David Bruce who survives.
Simone retired as a registered nurse in Tipton after 40 years of service at numerous hospitals in the surrounding areas. She enjoyed working out at the YMCA, bicycling, and running where she was a member of the Kokomo Roadrunners. She also enjoyed riding the motorcycle with her husband David. Simone's passion for horses showed in her riding and raising them. She was a member of American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association and American Ranch Horse Association.
Along with her husband David, Simone is also survived by her son, Ben (Stephanie) Bruce; grandchildren, Brianna and Jaxson Bruce; and mother-in-law, Sally Bruce.
Simone was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Stephen Bruce.

James “Jim” Earl Wooldridge
James “Jim” Earl Wooldridge, 96, Logansport, passed away at 7:48 am, Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his home. He was born on December 25,1926, in Tipton County. He was the son of the late Joseph Wooldridge and Verna (Jones) Wooldridge. On April 13,1958, in Kokomo, Indiana, he married Katie Blankenship, and she survives.
He served his country in the United Sates Navy during World War II on the USS Shenandoah. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he returned to Kokomo eventually working as a group leader at General Motors, retiring in 1983. He enjoyed the Florida sunshine, fishing, bowling, shuffleboard, and spending time with his loved ones. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Presbyterian Churches in Kokomo and Rochester.
Jim is survived by his wife, Katie; children, Garry (Kathy) Wooldridge, Joy (Dave) Hoagland, Dee Dee (Doug) White, Anna Hook; grandchildren, Shawn (Tori) Wooldridge, Shane (Jaime) Hosler, Eric Woodhouse, Evan (Katelyn) Wooldridge, Kristie (Chuck) Barr, Jill (Jason) Reehling, Nicholas (Michele) White, Nathan White, James Hook, Joseph (Raylie) Hook. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Sharon “Susie” Wooldridge; siblings, John Wooldridge, Betty Hinders, Helen Estle, Jerry Wooldridge, Billy Wooldridge, Barbara Wooldridge.
