Michael “Mike” John Taboas
Michael “Mike” John Taboas, 63, Russiaville, passed away at 10:17 am on Monday, April 17, 2023, at home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Detroit, MI on June 8, 1959, to Joseph C. and Mary E. (Duchene) Taboas.
Mike attended Oakridge High School in Orlando, FL. He was a self-employed mechanic, who loved working on cars, especially auto body work. He was a member of the NRA. Above all though, Mike loved his family, and they were the most important part of his life.
Mike is survived by his mother, Mary; children, Deaven Taboas, Chad (Cassie) Shaffer, Brandon (Chelsey) Shaffer, and Andrew (Shelby) Roach; significant other, Theresa “Teri” Bowers; brother, Joseph C. (Dawn) Taboas; sisters, Monica (Paul) Sanders, and Theresa (Michael) Kirkendall; nephews, Brandon (Katie) Sanders, Chris (Selena) Kirkendall, Ryne (Katharine) Sanders, and Roger (Samantha) Inlow; nieces, Jessica (Josh) Sanders, Michelle Kirkendall, Jenny (Matt) Saunders, Lindsey (Cory) Stafford, Misty, and April; 10 grandchildren; and many great nieces and nephews, who all adored him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; sister, Mary Elizabeth Taboas; grandparents, Joseph & Virginia Taboas, and Jack & Hazel Duchene.
In keeping with the family’s wish, there will be no services at this time. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation.
Martha E. Fecher (Roler)
Martha E. Fecher (Roler) of McMurray, formerly of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, age 95, wife for 58 years of the late Gene Fecher, beloved mother of Robert (Mary), sister of the late Lawrence Roler, loving grandmother of Beth Fecher and Katie Smith (David). Martha attended Peters Creek Baptist Church.
She retired from Continental Steel after 38 1/2 years of service and St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, IN.
Visitation Wednesday 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library, where a service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN, where a funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Sunset Memory Garden.
