Mary Suzanna “Suzie” Crawford
Mary Suzanna “Suzie” Crawford, 76, Kokomo, passed away at 10:50 am Friday, April 21, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born November 18, 1946, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Lewis A. & Louise Mary (McCarthy) Conradt. On August 7, 1976, she married Michael R. Crawford who survives.
Suzie was a graduate of Kokomo High School and St. Mary of the Woods College. She was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she served as a Sacristan & Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of P.E.O. chapter DM and Symposium. Suzie was the first woman to serve on the board of directors of the Kokomo Country Club. She had also served on the board of directors at Bona Vista and on the Foundation Board at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo. She enjoyed knitting, golfing and loved her rabbit, Honey.
Along with her husband Michael, Suzie is also survived by her children, Blaine C. Powers, Kokomo, Monica L. (Joachim J.) Restle, Hechingen, Germany, and Ashley A. Turner, Kokomo; grandchildren, Alexandra J. Powers, Abigail S. Powers, Max M. Powers, Mary Beth Restle, Anne A. (Patrick) Mayer, Samuel J. Restle, Lily A. Turner (fiancé, Eric Degenkolb), James G. Turner, and Nicholas M. Turner; great-granddaughter, Maya L, Degenkolb; brother, Albert C. (Barbara J.) Conradt.
Suzie was preceded in death by her parents; and mother-in-law, Mary G. Schmidt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Friday, April 28, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 N. Washington Street, Kokomo, with Rev. Fr. Elliot Zak and Rev. Fr. Andrew Dudzinski, celebrants. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-7 pm Thursday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo where the rosary will be offered at 3:30 pm. Michael Eugene Adams
Michael Eugene Adams, 66, Kokomo, passed away at 6:48 pm Saturday, April 15, 2023, at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 21, 1956, in Kokomo, the son of the late Thomas & Berneda June (Gang) Adams.
Michael served with the United States Navy as a medic. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Psychology from Indiana University at Kokomo. He worked as a peer counselor for both IUK and Bona Vista. Michael enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, rock climbing, geology and collecting Native American items.
Michael is survived by his children, Michael Adams and Stephanie (Ron) Lanning; grandchildren, Calvin Adams, Kaela Adams, Athena Harding, Michael Adams, Ashton Adams and Jaiden Lanning; great-grandchildren, Souleene Adams, River Adams, Mariam Rasmouni, along with one on the way; and brother, Gary Adams.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy; and daughter, Tulare Adams.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday May 8, 2023, in Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th Street, Marion with Pastor Paul Sutherland officiating. Military honors will be provided. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
