Judy L. Favors
Judy L. Favors, 83, Kokomo, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at her home. She was born May 1, 1939, in Tipton County to Thomas and Mary (Birden) Robinson. On August 10, 1974, she married Russell B. Favors who preceded her in death on January 5, 2010.
Judy was a proud mother, grandmother, and homemaker who received a key to the city of Kokomo on March 27, 2007, for her work with Favor’s Free Christmas Dinner that she and her late husband founded in 1996. For nearly 30 years the Favor’s family and many volunteers have served Christmas dinner to those in need. Judy was also a member of Carpenter’s House Church where she enjoyed serving in different capacities for years.
She is survived by daughter, Wanda Fuller; son, Mike Marcum; four step-children; grandsons, Gregg (Sara) Fuller and Joe (Alicia) Fuller; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Debbie Baine; and brother, Gary Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; and two step-children.
Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 West Jefferson Street, with Pastor Paul Sutherland officiating. Private burial will be Monday in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral Home. Vicki Lynn Nielander
Vicki Lynn Nielander, 64, of Galveston, Indiana passed away on March 16, 2023. She was born on September 17, 1958 in Kokomo, Indiana the daughter of Robert and Mary Jo (Ford) Barnett. She married Michael Nielander who survives.
She was a loving and caring nurse for 35 years, specializing in family care. She retired from Howard Regional after 28 years. She loved fishing, gardening, feeding her hummingbirds, and being at her country home. She was an avid Bigfoot enthusiast and was always on the lookout for one. Her favorite thing in life was enjoying her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Michael; children, Jason/Jessica/and Jay. Her grandchildren Gabriel, Gavin, Dawson, Colson, Wyatt, and Zaden. Great granddaughter Violet. Her brother Charlie and sisters Terri and Barbara.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Gathering will take place at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana, Friday, April 7, 2023 from 3:00 pm until the start of services at 5:00 pm.
Carolyn Joyce Hainlen
Carolyn Joyce Hainlen, 90, Greentown, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at her home. She was born on October 14, 1932 in Marion, Indiana, the daughter to the late Claude and Cecile (Brunk) Rudy. On August 28, 1951, she married Paul Hainlen Jr., who preceded her in death on September 9, 2013.
Carolyn was a 1950 graduate of Jackson Township High School. Although she was a homemaker her entire life, she was a vital part to the family business of Hainlen’s Apple Orchard for several years. Carolyn was on the board for Greentown Glass Museum for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, collecting Greentown glass, and loved working at the Hostess House.
She is survived by her sons, Len (Debra) Hainlen, Lyle (Robin) Hainlen and Jed (Brenda) Hainlen; grandchildren, Travis, Trent, Elizabeth, Eric, Jason, Brandon, Cory and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Liam, Jonas, Lennon, Mason, Emmy, Kash, Willow, Quinn, Madison, Hadlee, Alice, and Jackson.
In addition to her husband Paul Jr., Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Claudine, Vivian, and Norma.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, with Pastor Dave Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am Saturday until the start of the service at the funeral home. Sandra “Sandy” (Cody) Sines
Sandra “Sandy” (Cody) Sines, 78, of Russiaville, passed away Tuesday April 4, 2023. She was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, IN, on January 11, 1945, the daughter of Roy and Edna (Edens) Cody. She was married to Leton “Lee” Sines, and he survives.
Sandy graduated from Clinton Central High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated from Elkhart University and worked as a medical technologist for 5 years in Indianapolis. She retired from Delco after 28 years of service. She attended Chapel Hill Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband Leton Sines; daughters, Brianna Sines, Michelle Tharp; stepdaughters, Lisa (companion Jon) Sines, Kelley Brakstadd; stepson, Jon (Melissa) Sines; sisters, Norma (Jim) Daugherty, Wanda (Bill) Martin, Dr. Judy Rule; grandchildren, Tyler, Shaley, and Johnny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Edna Cody; and granddaughter, Danika Tharp.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 5 pm Monday April 10, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, IN 46979. Funeral service will begin at 5 pm on Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Billy Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery. Dolores Mae Vint
Dolores Mae Vint, 94, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Saturday March 25, 2023, 12:15 pm, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, February 16, 1929, to the late Wayne E. Johnson and Helen R. (Beberstein) Johnson. On November 19, 1949, she married Kenneth L. Vint who preceded her in death on December 8, 2015.
Dolores retired from Haynes International in 1987. After retirement, she and her husband divided their time between Kokomo, Indiana and Punta Gorda, Florida. She was a member of Center Road Church of Christ for over 60 years. She loved reading and playing her favorite game, bridge. Dolores was an amazing cook and always kept her family well fed with delicious meals, especially her famous chocolate chip cookies. She also found comfort and enjoyment with Rizzo, her devoted fur baby.
Dolores is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Dave) Duncan, Elaine Maddox, Pam (Steve) Prifogle; son, Kenneth Vint; grandchildren, Jason (Keri) Enyart, Kristin Enyart, Lori Stiner, Staci (fiancé Dave Finkbeiner) Duncan, Katie Beth (Daylan) Mueller, Anna Maddox, Abby Maddox, Megan (Chris) Refner, Maddie (Brian) McCandless, Todd Prifogle; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Sue) Johnson, Bill Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Carl Johnson; sisters-in-law, Bev Johnson, Joann Johnson; niece, Joyce Hersberger; and grandson, Hayden Vint.

Berta L. Flores
Berta L. Flores, 70, Kokomo, passed away at 3:54 pm, Friday, March 31, 2023, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born on June 11, 1952, in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She was the daughter of a nurse, Inocenta Carrera-Solares. In 2016, she married Cruz Flores in Kokomo, and he preceded her in death.
She moved to Kokomo in 1990 after living in England, Panama, and other regions in the United States. Berta was a skilled cook who worked a variety of jobs before she opened her own restaurant in Kokomo. She shared her love of food and the Indianapolis Colts with her husband.
Berta is survived by her daughter, Sharon McGill; and sister, Esperanza.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna McGill.

Alayna Reneé Shollay
Alayna Reneé Shollay was born sleeping at 7:45 pm Wednesday March 29, 2023, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. She was the daughter of Justin and Hannah Shollay.
Along with her parents, Alayna is also survived by her siblings, Aiden, Kailani, Cayson, Rylan, and Jackson Shollay; grandparents, Kim & Doug Jentes, Chris Sallee, Kim & Lee Maye, and Tony Shollay; aunts and uncles, Seth & Kaitlyn Sallee, Leah & Drew Durkes, Sarah & Jacob Ridgeway, Jared & Becky Shollay, Alexandra Emerick & Aaron Thomas; great-grandparents Lois and Dan Morris and Bess Shollay. She is also survived by many cousins.
A private graveside service will be held in Bond Cemetery in Amboy with Pastor John Clark officiating. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
