Daniel “Dan” Ray Hunt
Daniel “Dan” Ray Hunt, 51, Greentown, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at his home. He was born May 30, 1972, in Kokomo, the son of the late Raymond and Audrey (Abresch) Hunt. On April 26, 2002, he married Crystal (Meads) Hunt at Greentown Wesleyan Church in Greentown, and she survives.
Dan was a 1990 graduate of Northwestern High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from Purdue University in 2004 and his master’s degree in business management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2018. Dan had been employed at Haynes International as a supervisor in the research and development lab for 26 years.
Dan was an advisor for the 4-H junior leaders, past president of the 4-H Exhibit Association and was a 10-year Howard County 4-H member. He also attended the Indy 500 for 30 years and was an avid Indy car fan. He loved the outdoors, traveling, and playing disk golf with his friends. His greatest joys were bestowing wisdom to others and long talks with people. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, family, and friends. Dan never knew a stranger and always was there to help.
In addition to his wife Crystal, Dan is survived by his children, Timothy Hunt, Alexander Depoy, and Seth Hunt; sister, Becky (Tom) Douglas; brother, Steven (Lois) Hunt; mother-in-law, Donna Meads; Sister-in-law, Jessica (Rob) Ferguson; Nieces, Megan (Rod) Shaffer, Heather (Jim) Simpson, Lindy Hunt, Raylie (Joey) Hook, and Mara Ferguson; Nephews, Jeremy (Katie) Hunt, Zach Ferguson; along with several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law, James “Bill” Meads.
Funeral services for Dan will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11 am at Greentown Wesleyan Church, 120 N. Maple St. Greentown, with Pastor Paul Boss officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Howard County 4-H or the American Cancer Society, in Dan’s memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hasler & Stout Funeral Home. Jeffrey “Jeff” Leon Tillman
Jeffrey “Jeff” Leon Tillman, 52, of Russiaville, unexpectedly passed away Saturday August 19, 2023. He was born in Kokomo, IN, on September 14, 1970, the son of Kenneth and Mary Jo (Butcher) Tillman.
Jeff attended Western High School. He had a strong work ethic, which showed in his time as a truck driver. He loved his pet Rottweiler named Rocky and he enjoyed playing pool. Jeff liked tinkering and working on old trucks. He was in the process of restoring an old ’65 Ford pickup.
He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Jo Tillman; sister, Michelle (Kristine) Coleman, Orlando, FL; son, Sean Tillman, FL; uncles, Larry Butcher, William (Julie) Butcher.
Graveside service will be held 10:30 am Friday August 25, 2023, at North Union Cemetery, 425 North County Road 800 West, Kokomo, IN 46901, with Pastor Terry Russell officiating. Stout & Son Funeral Home Russiaville Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
James “Jim” Edmond Riley
James “Jim” Edmond Riley, 86, of Wabash, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at his home. He was born on October 24, 1936, the son of Glen and Dorthy (Moredock) Riley. On June 8, 1991, in Oakridge, Tennessee he married Kathleen McVicker, and she survives.
Jim graduated from Eastern High School in 1956. He worked as a farmer for 30 years. Following his career in farming, he managed the Culligan store in Wabash. In high school Jim was on the sectional winning basketball team, he later became a school board member at Eastern. He formerly served as the Jackson Township Trustee for 22 years, was a member of the Lions Club, and Wabash Friends Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Riley; children, Brad (Carey) Riley, Beth (Ed) Novinger, and Phil (Katie) Riley; step-children, Susan Lambert and Beverly Adams; grandchildren, Chad (Emily) Novinger, Vince (Jackle) Novinger, Grant (Amanda) Riley, Blane (Paige) Riley, and Blake Riley; step-grandchildren, Heidi Ramsey, Greg (Jamie) Lambert, Chad (Emily) Lambert, and Stephanie (Chad) Smith; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Riley, Taylor, Hudson, Hank Novinger, Reed, and Liv Riley; step- great grandchildren, Maddi, Kate, Cole, Gavin, Sydney, Saige Lambert, and Shelby Ramsey; step- great great granddaughter, Jayna Ramsey; and sister, June Ann (Roy) King.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 East Main Street, Greentown, with Pastor Tim Prater and Pastor Paul Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 am until the time of service, at the funeral home. William Joseph Carmichael
William Joseph Carmichael, age 97, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023.
William was the former president of Union Bank and Trust in Kokomo.
A graveside service for William will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Mausoleum, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902.

James “Jim” Stanley Rowe
James “Jim” Stanley Rowe, 67, formerly of Kokomo, passed away 7:02 am Wednesday August 16, 2023, at Aperion Care in Peru, IN. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on October 14, 1955, the son of the late Frederick and Gladys (Hunt) Rowe.
Jim was a 1974 graduate of Fort Wayne South High School. He worked in production at Art Iron Metal Workings and also managed Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Dealerships. His favorite hobbies were fishing, boating and swimming. Jim’s favorite memories consisted of spending time at his parent’s lake home on Ridinger Lake. He loved street racing his Kawasaki and Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Jim is survived by his sons, Shawn (Charity) Rowe, Justin Rowe; grandchildren, Talen Rowe, Tavis Rowe; brothers, Bill (Mary) Rowe, Bob (Mary) Rowe, Jerry Rowe; nephews, Joshua (Kelly) Rowe, Adam Rowe, Jason Rowe; and niece, Laura (Mike Seink) Rowe; former wife, Leanne Tupper-Rowe, and children Steven Muncie and Meladie Muncie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Gladys Rowe; and his wife, Brenda Rowe.
Jim attended the Parkwood Church of God while living in Fort Wayne.
