Kimberly Louise Wood
Kimberly Louise Wood, 63, Kokomo, passed away at 11:40 am Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. She was born December 27, 1959, in Kokomo.
Kimberly was a graduate of Haworth High School. She owned and operated her own roofing business. She loved to talk on the phone, read, do crafts and was an excellent cook. Kimberly also loved spending time with her children, especially for the holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, which where her favorite times of the year.
Kimberly is survived by her children, Roberto Martinez, Jr., Maria Martinez, Enrique Martinez, Gerardo Martinez and Brad Hill who she considered a son; grandchildren, Austin, Serena, Braden, Matteo and JoJo.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents; stepdad, Bill Collins; and children, Anna Martinez and Larry Martinez.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson Street, Kokomo. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-4 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 11550 N. Meridian Street, Carmel, IN 46032.
Marion Lee Greene
Marion Lee Greene, 89, Kokomo, passed away at 12:24 am Friday, August 25, 2023, at Waterford Health Campus in Kokomo. He was born September 23, 1933, in Kokomo, the son of the late Evelyn Tolley. His first few years were spent with his grandparents, Walter and Kate Tolley. Later he was adopted by Clarence and Evelyn Greene. On January 6, 1951, in Kokomo, he married Lucenia “Lucy” Pearl Crites who preceded him in death on November 10, 2010.
Marion retired from Chrysler Corp. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening. When he was younger, he loved to go snowmobiling in Michigan and mushroom hunting. Marion was a member of the Central Indiana Snowmobile Club. He loved cowboy movies, game shows and watching sports. He put his faith in Jesus, his Lord and Savior, and in his latter days, called upon him for help.
Marion is survived by his children, Linda (Dave) George and Brent (Debby) Greene; grandchildren, Michelle (Monte) Ellson, Brandon George, Brian Greene, Lisa Greene and Chelsea (Derek) Webb, along with several great-grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews; and siblings, Jackie (Dale) Hogan and Ronnie Greene.
The family would like to thank those at Waterford Health Campus who cared for Marion, you were so kind and loving.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucenia Greene; son, Jeff Greene; brother, Richard Greene; and special friend, Pam.
Funeral service will be held at Noon Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Gary Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 am until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
