Kelly Suzanne Majors
Kelly Suzanne Majors, 57, Kokomo, was gathered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday February 18, 2023, at her home. She was born to James “Jim” Majors and Victoria “Vicky” (Graham) Blackman on June 14, 1965.
Kelly graduated from Taylor High School in 1983 and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2002. She was part of Fresh Start Ministries. Kelly loved her family and friends, spending time with them was very important to her and she would do anything for them. She loved caring for her dogs, cats, and chickens, and being out in nature, watching birds and squirrels. She enjoyed photography and fishing; she was a hard worker with a great sense of humor. She loved sports, she played basketball in high school and was the first girl in Howard County to play in little league with all the boys. She took the time during her summers and made an impact on little girls by coaching softball. Kelly also loved riding around on her motorcycle.
Kelly is survived by her mother, Victoria; her sister, Lesa (Tim) Boyce; niece, Jessica Boyce; nephew, Nick (Chelsea) Boyce; special cousins, Carla Chism, and Kimmy Rhoades; along with many other beloved family members; and her cats, Tibby and Cloe.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim; stepfather, Jon Blackman; grandparents, William & Elsie Majors, and Joseph & Betty Graham; special friend, Rita McDonald; cousin Billy King; and aunt, Sue Scott.
A memorial service will take place at 6 pm on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Shirley &Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Chad Collins officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3 pm to 6 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kokomo Humane Society or Fresh Start Ministries.
