Vickie Lynn Dunn
Vickie Lynn Dunn, age 71, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Vickie was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on July 14, 1952, to Dick and Francis (Huffman) Heltzel. She graduated from Haworth High School in 1971. She married the love of her life, Samie, on August 23, 1975. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who will be deeply missed.
Vickie is survived by her husband Samie Dunn; son, Richie (Kammille) Dunn; grandchildren, Shania Wolf, Paxton Miller, Kaelee Dunn, and Toby Dunn; great-grandchild, Adelaide Grace Wolf; brothers, Terry (Jane) Heltzel and Rick (Lesia) Heltzel; and nieces, Stephanie (Adam) Wrightsmann and Abby Heltzel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Francis.
A visitation for Vickie will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902.

Larry Ivon Anderson
Larry Ivon Anderson, age 70, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. He was born in Portland, Oregon, to the late James and Lola Anderson.
Larry served in the US Air Force for 18 years as a Material Facility Specialist. While stationed in the Philippines, he met and married the love of his life, Helen. Together they had four beautiful children whom he loved immensely. Larry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He enjoyed taking long walks, watching crime TV, eating Whoppers from BK, making his special Spaghetti and Lasagna weekly, and of course sipping on coffee all day. Larry will be remembered as a kind, humorous, rambunctious, and loyal father, and friend.
Larry is survived by his four adult children Jason, Joey, Sherry, and Mellisa. He is also survived by his grandchildren Shaya, Austin, Sarah, Skyler, and Cheyenne. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brothers Mike, Dave, & Jim.
There will be a private graveside service for the family on March 1, 2024, at 13:30 hrs at the Sunset Garden Memorial Funeral Home located at 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, IN 46902.

James D. Ashbaugh
James D. Ashbaugh, 71 of Tipton died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. He was born in St. Louis on September 6, 1952 and made that his residence until 1992 when he moved to the Tipton area. His parents were Millard and Betty (Borders) Ashbaugh. James married Debbie Tabacchi on December 9, 1972 and she survives.
James worked on the production line at Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo until retiring in 2007.
Survivors include his wife Debbie, daughter Sarah Maurer (Jason Straber) of Westfield and a son James M. Ashbaugh (Mary Sutton) of Indianapolis. He is also survived by two siblings, Wally (Donna) Ashbaugh of Washington, Missouri and Louise (Jim) Watts of O’Fallon, Missouri.
A memorial service will take place at a later date to be determined.

John Throgmorton Sr.
John Throgmorton Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024, in Kokomo, IN, at the age of 73. Born on April 25, 1950, in Noblesville, IN, to Annie and Wade Throgmorton, John lived a life marked by love, kindness, and thoughtful gestures.
John proudly served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that spoke to his enduring sense of duty and patriotism. His post-military life was filled with the joys of wood crafting, perfecting his mechanical skills, cooking savory meals, and indulging in his love for westerns.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of over 40 years, Robin Elmore Throgmorton, his loving daughter Katie Ann Throgmorton, and his adored grandchildren, Nathan and Annie.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Samantha Throgmorton.

Kevin Patrick Shane
Kevin Patrick Shane, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024, in his hometown of Kokomo, IN. Born on June 5, 1965, to Kenneth and Rose Shane, Kevin lived a life marked by love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community.
Kevin was a proud graduate of Haworth High School, class of 1983, where he formed friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. His passion for technology and problem-solving led him to a successful career as a computer programmer at BA Solutions, where his intelligence and wit made him a respected figure in the workplace.
He married his soulmate, Joan, and together they celebrated 29 years of marriage filled with joy, support, and mutual respect. Their love was a beacon for their children and grandchildren, who saw in them the epitome of partnership and affection. Kevin's legacy continues through his beloved family, including his wife Joan, their children, cherished grandchildren, and one great-grandson who brought him immense pride. He also leaves behind two brothers, along with many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Kevin's interests were as varied as they were passionate. An accomplished woodworker, he created pieces that were both functional and beautiful, often gifting them to friends and family. Music filled his home, and he loved nothing more than sharing his favorite tunes with his loved ones, creating a soundtrack for their lives. However, his greatest joy was found in the simple pleasure of spending time with his family, where his generosity and humor were always on display.
Those who knew Kevin will remember him as a man of great intelligence, with a quick wit that could lighten any room. His generous spirit was felt by all, as he was always ready to lend a hand or share his knowledge with others. His laughter was infectious, and his presence was a comfort to those around him.
Preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Rose Shane, Kevin's spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. He was a man who made a lasting impact on his community and the people he loved, and his absence will be deeply felt by many.
As we say farewell to Kevin Patrick Shane, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will be cherished by his family and friends forever. His story is one of love, laughter, and the enduring power of family. Kevin's memory will be honored not just in words, but in the way we continue to embody the values he held dear.
