Rick Caine
In the early morning of January 9, 2024, Rick Caine found peace in the beauty of the falling snow. It is with heavy hearts that his family announces his passing.
Rickey (Rick) Eugene Caine was born on April 12, 1957, to Eugene L. Caine and JoAnn E. Miller in Kokomo, Indiana. Rick leaves a legacy of perseverance. Despite any physical challenge his body endured due to polio, he would find a way to overcome. He was a lover of nature, and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers. He loved music and taking his daughter to concerts. His greatest joy in life was his family. He often reminisced on time spent around the kitchen table with his family, tea with his mom, holiday dinners, poker nights, and any reason to be together. He loved being a grandpa and his grandson was his best buddy. He was an avid Kokomo Wildkats fan and loved watching his grandson play football and run track.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Mike) Degraffenreid; his grandson, Lukas Degraffenreid; his brothers, Timothy Caine and Scott (TawanaMarie) Miller; his sisters, Kathy Townsend and Lisa (Randy) Bagby; 15 nieces & nephews and many great nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, James L. Miller; his brothers, Jeffery Caine and Toby Miller; his niece, Amber Caine; his sister-in-law, April Miller; and his brother-in-law, Bryon Townsend.
A memorial service will be held at Brookside Free Methodist church on Saturday January 20, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. His daughter, son-in-law, and grandson will accompany him to his final resting place, where his ashes will return to nature.

Lisa Ann Williams
Lisa Ann Williams, age 65, of Tipton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born on July 31, 1958, in Richmond, IN to her parents, Clarence Williams and Judith (Null) Williams.
Lisa attended Hamilton Heights High School. She earned her QMA certification and worked for Westfield Village Healthcare for many years. Lisa also worked for NRG Electronics in Cicero. One of the constants about Lisa was the fact that she always had a job and was well thought of for her meticulous work ethic. Even after retirement, and when she was supposed to be on disability, she continued to work. Many folks will remember Lisa from Gas America at Baker’s Corner. She was the sassy one who always shared a smile and word of encouragement to all who passed through; despite the fact most of those days she was not feeling well. Lisa was a go getter, and her resilient spirit always shined through; especially to her children.
Lisa was a “happy go lucky” kind of gal. Her friendly, outgoing personality drew others in. She loved her simple life and didn't get caught up in the craziness of this world. She was genuine, trustworthy, and loved her family well. She taught her children to appreciate music. Lisa liked the classic 80’s groups; Journey was her favorite! She also loved camping, and enjoyed the solitude brought by nature. Above all, Lisa loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and beamed with pride for each of them!
Those left to carry on Lisa’s legacy of love are her children, James (Cheryl) Trietsch Jr., Rachel (Jason) Sayers, Michael (Breann) Miller; grandchildren, Brandt Trietsch, Tyler Trietsch, Austin Sayers, Jacob (Lacy) Sayers, Trevor (Koda) Sayers, Drew Sayers, Jaxson Sayers; great grandchildren, Landon Sayers, Liam Sayers, April Sayers, Emma Lewis, Hunter Lewis, Oaklee Sayers; siblings, Bobby Jo (Audrey) Williams, Terry (Dan) Morris, Randy Williams; beloved dog, Sassy; devil cat, Calico; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lisa was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Clarence and Judith Williams; daughter, Faith Dawn Arney; and sister, Tracy Lee Miller.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home is honored to care for the Williams family in their time of need. Please feel free to leave an online condolence or share a special memory of Lisa with her family on her tribute wall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lisa’s honor may be mailed to Taylor & Cowan Funeral home, 314 N. Main St. In Tipton, to offset expenses.
