Robert E. Meriwether
Robert E. Meriwether, age 64, beloved son to Joe E. Meriwether Sr. and Bertha Louise Hollingsworth, born in Anderson, Indiana, made his transition on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
At a very young age Robert accepted Christ and was baptized at Second Baptist church located in Kokomo, Indiana.
Robert attended Kokomo High School where he enjoyed playing all sports such as track, basketball, and football. He graduated with the class of 1980 and later joined the U.S. Navy.
Robert enjoyed working outside. He loved landscaping, sports, people, and his family.
He is survived by his devoted mother Bertha Hollingsworth (Elijah), siblings Gawana Meriwether and Joe Meriwether, Jr. (Krista), ex-wife Michelle Wright-Meriwether, nephew Joe E. Meriwether III (Lavina), as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Joe E. Meriwether, Sr., paternal grandparents Ellis W. Meriwether and Laura B. Killebrew-Meriwether and Clinton Hudson and Moluster Cotton-Hudson, girlfriend Tanette Jones, and special friends Johnny McDonald, Richard Young, and Ricky Clark.
A visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, IN 46902. A funeral service with Military Honors will be at 1:00 PM, same location.
Sean Curtis Paul
Sean Curtis Paul, age 48, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025.
A public visitation for Sean will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Fairfield Christian Church, 1476 County Rd. E 400 S, Kokomo, IN 46902, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
Mary L. Hinkle
Mary L. Hinkle, 99, of Tipton, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at The Waters of Tipton. She was born in Cicero Township of Tipton County on February 14, 1925, to Gilbert F. & Mary M. (Snipes) Meeks. Mary married Robert V. Hinkle on November 14, 1945, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1997.
She was the bookkeeper and co-owner with her husband on Hinkle TV Service in Tipton. Before that she had worked for International Harvester in Chicago. She was a graduate of Tipton High School in the Class of 1942.
Mary was a member of the West Street Christian Church where she was an Elder and a member of Esther Circle. She had been an associate of Haines City Christian Church in Florida. She enjoyed visiting Dale Hollow and wintering in Winter Haven, Florida.
She is survived by three sons Ted Hinkle of Racine, Wisconsin, Tim Hinkle of Byrdstown, Tennessee, and Dan Hinkle of Tipton, along with four grandchildren Heather Bohen, Melissa Hinkle, Eric Hinkle, and Shanika Palm, three nieces, and four great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, a son Steve Hinkle, three brothers Robert Meeks, Victor Meeks, and Richard Meeks, and one niece.
A memorial service for Mary will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, at the West Street Christian Church with Rev. Ashley Sherard presiding. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service.

Henry “Hank” J. Hoelscher
Henry “Hank” J. Hoelscher, 82, of Winamac, and formerly of Tipton, passed away at 1:08 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 12, 1942, on the family dairy farm near Yorkshire, Ohio, to the late Clem and Mary (Greishop) Hoelscher.
He was a 1960 graduate of Minster High School. Hank was a U.S. Army veteran and served six years in the Army Reserves.
He married Patricia Lochtefeld in 1964. She preceded him in death in 1978. In 1980, he married Faye (Kersey) Foerg.
He worked for the Tipton Utilities for 34 years and was the Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant where he held a Class 4 certification.
Hank was a founding member of the Central Division of the Indiana Water Pollution Association and was the recipient of the William D. Hatfield Award from the Water Pollution Control Federation and the Tumble Bug Award from the Indiana Water Pollution Association. He did not achieve these awards by himself, having great pride in his plant and fellow coworkers.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac, Winamac American Legion Post 71, proudly serving on the Honor Guard, and was the Past Commander of Tipton American Legion Post 46. Hank was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Tipton, a 50-year member of the Loyal Order of Moose, and also a member of the Winamac Eagles.
He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends, where he loved the beer drinking around the campfire, as any German would.
Survivors include his wife Faye Hoelscher, sons William Hoelscher (Patty) and Thomas Hoelscher, stepson Darrell Foerg, stepdaughter Laura Piercy (Boyd), grandchildren Cameron, Bailey, and Lucas Hoelscher, Roxie, Dakota, and Brogan Foerg, and Ely and Elisabeth Piercy, sisters Theresa Plieman, Rosalee Holdheide (Paul), Margaret Snider (James), and Joyce Liette, and brother-in-law Joe Romer.
He was also preceded in death by infant sons David and James Hoelscher, brothers Richard, Victor, and John Hoelscher, and sisters Mildred Frilling, Teckla Hoying, Jula Plieman, and Patrica Romer.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 20, at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Winamac Chapel, 110 N. Sally Dr., Winamac, where there will be a Scripture Service at 2:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Osgood, Ohio, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24.
Burial with military rites will be performed at St. Martins Cemetery in Osgood.
