Gene Gordon Hendrickson
Gene Gordon Hendrickson, 90, formerly of Russiaville Indiana, died at 10:00 pm on Friday July 21, 2023, at Five Star Residence of Noblesville. He and Jane had been living in Noblesville for the last four years.
Born September 16, 1932, in Howard County Indiana the son of Roy and Helen B Gordon Hendrickson. Roy died in November 1939, and Gene grew up on the Gordon Farm and Orchard, where his granddad Melvin Gordon instilled the values of hard work and frugality. Those values served Gene well.
In November 1952 he married Jane Gilbert, the first wedding in the newly rebuilt New London Friends Church. They started farming and a family, but soon found careers that would be a big part of their lives establishing and running Hendrickson Distributing in Russiaville. They retired in 1982. Retirement included a job for Gene, traveling the US delivering motor coaches, which he retired from on his eightieth birthday.
He was a 1950 graduate of Western High School, the second class after consolidation of the township schools. A lifelong Quaker, he was most recently a member of First Friends Church in Kokomo.
Gene is survived by his wife, D. Jane Gilbert Hendrickson of Noblesville; sister, Donna Hill of Kokomo; son, Gene Gilbert Hendrickson of Kokomo; daughter, Marcia K (Steve) Hall of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Lauren (Steve) Guynn of Noblesville, Whitney (Nick) Sumpter of Fishers, Blake (Taylor) Clutter of Muncie, Davis (Madison) Clutter of Lafayette; and Miles Clutter of Indianapolis; and six great grandchildren round out the blessings of immediate family. Brothers and Sisters in-law include, Nancy Gilbert of Winnipeg, Marjorie Gilbert (Jim) Baurley of Martinsville, Joe (Susie) Gilbert of Russiaville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, David K Hendrickson of Washington DC. Gene and Jane’s parents passed away many years ago.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, July 28,2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Ann Carter officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 1:30 pm until the start of the service, at the funeral home. Marie “Mary” L. Cook
Marie “Mary” L. Cook, passed away at 3:05 pm on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo. She was born on April 8, 1932, in Kokomo, to the late James A. and Marie L. (Gaillardot) Ashba.
Marie worked for Delco Radio, and retired in February of 1983, after 30 years of service. She oversaw the Las Vegas trip for the Delco Good Timers for ten years. She also enjoyed antiquing and playing BINGO.
Marie is survived by her nieces and nephews, Pam Darling, Brian Ashba, Kim (Dave) Siefers, and Steve Ashba; and sister-in-law, Martha Ashba.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Kristie E. (John) Cook Ferrell, and Mark E. Cook; siblings, Marjorie (Larry) Horney, Paul Ashba, Hugette Copeland; and nephew, Gary Ashba.

David “Dave” Alan Stout
David “Dave” Alan Stout, 83, Kokomo, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 23, 2023. He was born on July 4, 1940, in New London, the son of the late Kennard and Reba (Tucker) Stout. On July 6, 1963, he married Mary Helen Taylor, who preceded him in death on February 15, 2011. On May 25, 2013, he married his high school sweetheart Linda Vogus Pinkerton, and she survives.
Dave was a 1958 graduate of Western High School. After being honorably discharged from the United States Army, Dave went to work at the Kokomo Tribune. He then served as a policeman for the City of Kokomo from 1963 to 1965, before going to work as plant security at General Motors/Delco Electronics, serving 27 years until his retirement in 1992. After retiring from GM, Dave went to work for Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory for 20 years.
Dave had a passion for aviation, flying airplanes for 50 years. He took flying lessons and earned his license after his first solo flight on his 16th birthday. He eventually became a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, OX5 Aviation Pioneers, which he later became president of for the Indiana Wing and was a past member and president of the Kokomo Board of Aviation. Dave was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Logansport Golf Club, and loved spending his winters with Linda in Ocala, FL.
In addition to his wife Linda, Dave is survived by his sons, Marty (Bev) Stout, and Douglas (Tracy) Stout; grandchildren, Megan (Joel) Levi, Morgan (Kirk) Irwin, Jeff (Courtney) Stout, Madison (Skyler) Bourff, Jake Stout, Katelyn (Jake) Bogardus, Reagan (Nate) Wood, Jason (Ali) Hargraves, Justin Hargraves, and Zach Stout; brother, Dennis (Nancy) Stout; Linda’s sons, Brian (Tina) Pinkerton, and Greg (Debra) Pinkerton; and her grandchildren, Dain and Chase Pinkerton; along with 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren on the way.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Helen Stout; and son, Jeffrey A. Stout.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Monday, July 31, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 N. Washington St., Kokomo, with Rev. Fr. Kyle Neterer, celebrant. Fr. Elliot Zak and Fr. Stephen Duquaine, con-celebrants. Burial will follow in New London Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1 pm to 4 pm Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, where the Rosary will be offered at 12:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or the Kokomo Humane Society in Dave’s memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stout & Son Funeral Home. Michael Franklin Heideman
Michael Franklin Heideman, 61, Kokomo, passed away at 7:35 am Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Kokomo Healthcare Center. He was born February 7, 1962, in Freehold, New Jersey.
Michael loved God, preaching the word and reading his Bible. He also loved walking, going out to restaurants, coffee and doing word searches. Michael was an avid collector of hats and loved spending time with his nephews Charles and Walter and going to family reunions. He also volunteered with Community Howard Regional Health.
Michael is survived by his siblings, William (Mary) Conrad, Sharon (Russell) McClain, Molly Sue Conrad, Cindy Smeltser, Cathy Conrad, David (Nancy) Stump, Jeanie (Charles) Gault and Linda Smith; special nephews, Walter M. Conrad and Charles Gault along with several other nieces and nephews; and girlfriend, Marianna Parker.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Gerald Conrad, Kelly Conrad, Connie Kleinknight, Charles Conrad and Ellen Conrad.
