Glenda J. Casteel
Glenda J. Casteel, 61, of Galveston, passed away at 9:48 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her home. She was born March 1, 1962, in Kokomo, to Bobby and Janice Faye (Carter) Jones. On October 17, 1981, she married Danny L. Casteel, in Kokomo, and he survives.
Glenda graduated from Haworth High School in 1980 and worked as store manager at White’s Meat Market for 34 years. She enjoyed reading, euchre, gambling, playing volleyball in the pool, vacationing, especially on the beach, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion and a past member of the Eagles Lodge.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Amber (Matt) Woolever and Daniel (Airelle) Casteel; grandchildren, Aleigha Rodabaugh, Tenley Rodabaugh, Reagan Woolever, Rylee Casteel and Nova Casteel; siblings, Bobby (Connie) Jones, Rhonda (Kenny) Cockrell, Cindy Jones, Brian (Kim) Jones, Kathy (Donnie) Titus and Jon Jones (Angela McKinley); father-in-law, Marvin Carl Durham; in-laws, Michael J. Casteel and Jacqueline Koontz; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Jones; mother, Janice Faye Jones Horn; stepfather, Eldon Horn; mother-in-law, Alice Durham; and nephews, Carl Koontz and Chad Jones.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Paul Sutherland officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. to Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Glenda’s memory to the Carl A. Elton "Chip" Floyd Holder
Elton "Chip" Floyd Holder, age 96, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
A time of visitation for Chip will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 1:00 PM, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. A burial with military honors will occur Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 W Alto Rd, Kokomo, Indiana 46902.

Harriet Eleanor Cassingham
Harriet Eleanor Cassingham, 86, of Kokomo, passed away at 5:34 am on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at her home. She was born on April 23, 1937, the daughter of Ora and Cynthia (Foster) Small. On May 1, 1964, she married Robert James “Bob” Cassingham, and he preceded her in death on December 9, 1996.
Harriet was a graduate of Kokomo High School and enjoyed the monthly dinners she and her classmates from the class of 1955 shared since their graduation. She was a switch line operator at Indiana Bell. She also worked as an admissions clerk at St. Joseph Hospital and owned and operated B&H Upholstery with her husband Bob. Harriett finished her work life as an employee of the L Shop in downtown Kokomo. Harriet was a team mom for Yogi’s minor league at UCT Park. She volunteered as a room mother for her children’s classes and was active in the Palmer School PTA. She volunteered in the office at Grace United Methodist Church. Harriet enjoyed going to each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s events ranging from band, plays, sporting events, and even traveling out of state to karate tournaments. Harriet enjoyed entertaining her friends and family around her dining room table.
Harriet is survived by her children, Cynthia Jean (David) Lovegrove and Bobbette (Thomas, Sr.) Fagel; grandchildren, Cassie (Chelsy) Ferrell, Rachel (Derek Jr.) Flager, Amy (Craig) Roupe, Thomas (Harley) Fagel Jr., and Justin (Ashley) Fagel; and 13 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ora and Cynthia Small; husband, Robert Cassingham; son, Robert M. Cassingham; and her 10 siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Scott Pattison officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Tuesday August 1, 2023, at the funeral home. Roger Mennen
Roger Mennen, 79, went home to Jesus on July 24, 2023. On September 27, 1943, he became the first of 4 children born to H Burton and Lulu Marjorie (Cunningham) Mennen. He took his time in selecting an ideal wife, and on November 24, 1995, he married Connie Leach.
Roger graduated from Washington Twp. School, Cass County, in 1961. He attended Purdue University where he studied Ag Econ. He enjoyed hunting, and he went deer hunting annually with his uncle out west. Roger enjoyed golf and he learned to fly small single engine aircraft.
Roger held various jobs, starting with Sangrilea Valley in Onward, IN. He also worked for a couple of grain elevators before buying a Dura Seal business which he operated until he retired.
Besides his wife, Connie, Roger leaves two sons, Timothy Jay (Kristy) Leach and Michael Shawn (Jamie) Leach; 7 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Patricia (Milton) Bevington, and Mary Louise Mennen; a brother, Alvin (Jill) Mennen; 2 nieces and 3 nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews; and special friend, Carl Lorenze.
Preceding Roger in death were his parents, Burton and Marjorie Mennen and a niece, Darci Bevington.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday July 31, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday at the funeral home.
