Marie Elizabeth (Fowler) Martin
Marie Elizabeth (Fowler) Martin, 85, of Kokomo, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 3, 2023, at her home. She was born in Kokomo, IN, on February 24, 1938, the daughter of the late Ellis and Violet (Powell) Fowler. On December 23, 1955, she married Dale Martin, and he survives.
Marie was a 1956 graduate of Kokomo High School. She retired from Delco Electronics in 1992 after serving for 25 years in production. She was a former member of Zion Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. She prioritized her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Marie was an amazing homemaker who took great care of her husband and their three children. She liked to go camping, fishing, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of nearly 68 years, Dale Martin, she is survived by her children, Jeff (Tanya) Martin, Tim (Pam) Martin, Dalena (Ralph) Fershee; grandchildren, Jessica (David) Osmond, Lance (Wendi) Martin, Corey Martin, Bailey Martin, TJ Chapley, Matthew (Melissa) Martin, Bradlee (Kayla) Martin, Emily (Travis) White, Alex Nordman, Zack Nordman, Madison Fershee, Katelyn Fershee; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Violet Fowler; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 am to Noon Monday July 10, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. Funeral service will begin at Noon on Monday at the funeral home with Rob Conyers officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden. Brandon Cory Wells
Brandon Cory Wells, 45, of Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in his home. He was born in Kokomo on February 10, 1978, to Robert E. Wells and Diane (White) Baker.
Brandon’s heart was always his biggest and best attribute, and it seemed everyone who knew him loved him. He had unmatched love for his sons, he loved his mother dearly, his best friend Theo (dog), going to concerts with his boys, playing his guitar, fishing, and the Chicago Cubs. Brandon’s infectious laugh will always be heard by those who knew him well. He always took his work seriously and his strong work ethic differentiated him. He will be terribly missed.
Brandon is survived by his two sons, Cory and Brayden and their mother Amy; his mother and stepfather, Diane (Bill) Baker; father, Robert (Deborah) Wells; 3 brothers, Tim (Mary) Wells, Shain (Brianne) Wells, and Robert Parker; stepsister, Shannon (Brad) Bugher; stepbrother, Shane (Tiffany) Baker; and 15 nieces and nephews.
