Simonne Mossholder
Simonne Mossholder, 88, of Kokomo, passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Wellbrooke in Kokomo. She was born on April 9, 1937, near Paris, France.
Simonne was a well-known figure in Kokomo, as she walked all over the Northside and Downtown. She was cheerful, hard-working, and very interested in people. She spoke most often about the blood of Jesus and salvation by grace. She was also an accomplished needleworker.
Simonne grew up in France and moved to the United States as a young bride. She worked as a nursing assistant at Waterford Place and Sycamore Village. Simonne also worked at numerous other places, and volunteered at Northwoods Commons, Favors’ Christmas Dinner, and the Kokomo Rescue Mission. She is survived by her son Tony A. Mossholder, his wife Rosie, and children Katie and Gracie, friend Lisa Kilmer, two sisters Colette Lefevre and Francoise Baudenne, and her niece Catherine Patton. Simonne was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service celebrating Simonne’s life will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday July 9, 2025, at Kokomo Christian Fellowship, 600 S Dixon Rd., Kokomo, IN 46901, with Chaplain Steve Claspell and Pastor Nicky Farmer officiating. Private burial will take place in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Larry Edward Elston
Larry Edward Elston, 76, of Windfall, died Wednesday July 2, 2025, at his home. He was born in Tipton on July 4, 1948, to Ruben Elston and Billie Jo (Dell) Elston Cardwell. Larry married Debbie Huffman.
Larry attended Tipton Community School where he was known to friends as “Sanford.” He had several jobs over the years, which included FMC, GW Pierce, the town of Windfall, and served as a member of WTVFR. Larry had a fond love for vehicles; everything from working on them to driving them.
Larry is survived by his daughter Michelle (Jason) Grubb of Windfall, and grandchildren Juston Grubb, Macy (Mayson) Benedict, and Janson (Savannah) Grubb. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by April Lovell Pfoutz, who was raised by and welcomed into the family by Larry and Debby.
Preceding him and welcoming him to his heavenly home are his loving wife, his parents Reuben and Billie Jo, and his siblings Terry and Elaine.
A time of gathering and sharing is planned for a later date.
