Wilma (Wright) Glass
Wilma (Wright) Glass, 97, Kokomo, passed away on June 7, 2023, at Century Villa Healthcare in Greentown. She was born January 14, 1926, in Sharps Chapel, TN, the daughter of the late Eli & Nora Wright. On April 1, 1945, she married Orville L. Glass and were married for 22 years and had five children together.
Wilma worked at Delco Electronics in Kokomo for 20 years. She also helped open Millers Department Store and the K-Mart on the bypass and one in South Bend. Wilma loved to read, work puzzles, crochet and spend time with her family.
Wilma is survived by her children, Gloria (George) Tarrant and Mark (Kim) Glass, both of Kokomo; brother, Charles (Barb) Wright; fifteen grandchildren, Kimberly Wright, Lori (Tim) Henson, Robin VanBriggle, Tony VanBriggle, Misty (Jason) Ritchie, Eric Beatty, Travis (Stacy) Walker, Christy (Bryan) Hill, Nichole (Thomas) Tarrant, Ashley (Iako) Kalili, Tammy (Tim ) Wallace, Lisa Knapp, Jenica Brown, Amanda McDaniel and Mark (Sara) Glass; along with 44 great-grandchildren, David, Jamie, Heather, Nicholas, Jason, Brittany, JJ, Clea, Chase, Colton, Haley, Krista, Hayden, Dalton, Andrew, Cayla, TaJma, Taraji, Tamoa Vivii, Boboi, Siaosi, Jared, Megan, Tyler, Racheal, Anthony, Jessica, Katelin, Briley, Cierra, Tristan, Brandon, Tara, Johnathon, Zachary, Olivia, Allison, Micheal, Josh, Mikey, Tommy, Ashley and Justin; and 38 great-great-grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; children, Connie Beatty, Vickie Appleby and Jeffery Glass.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson Street, Kokomo with Mike Beatty officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 am until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. June Marie Stephens
June Marie Stephens, 89, of Kokomo, went to be with the Lord 5:45 am Tuesday June 13, 2023, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo. She was born in Covington, IN, on August 20, 1933, the daughter of the late Granville and Dollie (Laird) Grubb. On September 7, 1958, she married Clifford Stephens Jr., and he preceded her in death on July 27, 2003.
June was a 1951 graduate of Covington High School. In 1953, she earned a Private Secretarial Degree from the Indiana Business College. After schooling, she began her career at the International Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators, and Paper Hangers in Lafayette as a receptionist and stenographer. She then was employed at Eli Lilly, the Social Security Administration in Lafayette, and the Welfare Dept. in Kokomo. Later, she worked at the Wiese Oldsmobile Dealership in Kokomo. She retired from Howard Community Hospital in 1994 after 17 years of service. June was a faithful member of Main Street Christian Church where she assisted with Vacation Bible School, traveled with the Senior Adult Ministry (SAM), and was a member of Ladies Aide. She enjoyed playing cards and having dinner with her card club friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Granville and Dollie Grubb; husband, Clifford Stephens Jr.; siblings, Betty (John) Linne, Donald Grubb, Quentin (Judy) Grubb; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clifford and Helen Stephens; sister-in-law, Rosemary Grubb; brother-in-law, BJ Stiffler.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 8 pm Friday June 16, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, IN 46979. Funeral service will begin 10 am Saturday June 17, 2023, at Stout & Son in Russiaville, with Pastor Ryan Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery. Eva Marie (Kelley) Adams
Eva Marie (Kelley) Adams of Greentown died Tuesday, May 9, 2023. She passed away peacefully in her home at Century Fields surrounded by her daughters. Eva was born on May 12, 1936 in Sycamore to George and Lena (Major) Kelley. On October 15, 1954 Eva became the bride of Richard Glenn Adams at the Sycamore Friends Church. Richard preceded her in death on August 20, 2012. They enjoyed 58 years together.
Eva supported the Greentown Beavers as a cheerleader and graduated from Eastern High School in 1954. Following high school, Eva joined Richard in California where she settled in as a Navy wife. Eva enjoyed the company of other Navy families and created lasting friendships.
After moving back to Greentown, Eva raised five daughters. Eva lovingly gave her time and support to the girls’ activities, taking on roles as Room Mother, Girl Scout leader, chauffeur, sleepover hostess and savvy shopping mentor.
Eva had a special place in her heart for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She devoted countless days to attending sporting events, working concession stands and cheering from the bleachers, always encouraging the children to give their best. Eva and Richard would often travel hundreds of miles to celebrate a special event or attend Seniors’ nights and graduations.
Eva worked for Delco, retiring after 30 year. Eva and Richard began traveling to warmer climates, eventually living in Gulf Shores and Lakeland Florida. Eva loved Euchre and was the Bingo coordinator at Georgetown Mobile Manor for many years.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Glenna (Steve) Gierke, Peru, Angela (Gary) Mitchell, Madison, Georgia, Paula (Jerry) Jensen, Greentown, Teresa (Tom) Kramer, Ooltewah, Tennessee, and Donna Bates, Marion; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Millie Kelley and Francie Hutton and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eva was preceded in death by her two brothers Amos and Raymond Kelley.
The family would like to thank the staff at Century Fields for their loving care of Eva during her final months, and also the skilled medical professionals at Ascension St. Vincent’s, Kokomo.
Eva was a member of Sycamore Friends Church, 1148 N. 1100 E., Greentown, and the memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 1:00 at the church. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 to 1:00 on Saturday at the church. Pastor Rob Schwarze will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Sycamore Friends Church.
