Shirley Marie (Arnett) Horoho
Shirley Marie (Arnett) Horoho, 87 years old, of Greentown, passed away 10:07 a.m. Sunday June 22, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent 86th Street in Indianapolis. She was born in Kokomo, IN, on March 30, 1938, the daughter of the late Charles and Isabel (Thomison) Arnett. On April 7, 1957, she married Daniel Lee Horoho, and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2023.
Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was the ultimate caretaker and homemaker of her husband and their children. Shirley was a reserved lady who enjoyed flowers and appreciated trees. She enjoyed sewing, collecting porcelain dolls, and Greentown glass. Her favorite times were spent square dancing and round dancing with her husband Daniel.
She is survived by her daughter Tami (Steve) Cass, son Kerry (Sandy) Horoho, grandchildren Nick (Amanda) Cass and Lesli (Wayne) Holt, great-grandchildren Christian Holt, Natalie Holt, and Emily Cass, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Baby Horoho, and siblings Ruby Fierke, Melvin Arnett, and Betty Boehler.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. to Noon Saturday June 28, 2025, at Hasler–Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, IN 46936. A funeral service celebrating Shirley’s life will begin at noon on Saturday at the funeral home with Dave Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown. Mark A. Johnson
Mark A. Johnson, 67, of Sharpsville, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at IU Health–Tipton. He was born on November 17, 1957, in Tipton, the son of Bedford J. and Evelyn Lucile (Tidler) Johnson.
Mark graduated from Tri-Central High School in 1976. He was a certified X-ray technician for Mercury Marine in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Dura Automotive in Brownstown, Indiana. He was also employed at Steel Parts in Tipton. He was an avid fisherman, hiker, and jogger in his younger days. He had a passion for boxing.
Mark is survived by his parents Bedford and Evelyn Johnson, sisters Shirley Diane (Dana) Sutton and Beverly Joan (David) Brudi, nieces Carrie Mae (Donald) Robinson, Cherie Kae (Craig) Smith, and Rebecca Ann (Ben) Ruf, nephew Matthew Scott (Ashley) Sutton, 13 great nieces and nephews, and three great-great nieces and nephew.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service celebrating Mark’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home – Sharpsville Chapel, 204 N. Church Street, Sharpsville, with Pastor Heather Holman officiating. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, at the funeral home. All are invited to join the family at the church for a meal and fellowship. Mark Allen Fisher Sr.
Mark Allen Fisher Sr., 86, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health Hospital.
Mark was born March 28, 1939, to John P. Fisher and Irene D. (Scott) Fisher. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, demonstrating the same quiet strength, dedication, and honor that he carried throughout his life.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend. Mark shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Noreen. Their bond was a lasting testament to love, partnership, and faith.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Noreen Fisher and their four children: Mark Fisher, Lori (Todd) Powell, Heather (Sam) Hall-Fisher, and Brenda Fisher. He was a proud grandfather to Adam (Tracey) Fisher, Ashley (Jacob) Ellis, Emily Maddox, Natalie (Jordan) Huffer-Davis, Caleb (Tabitha) Davis, Hannah Truax, Jared (McKenna) Ehase, Drew Hall-Fisher, Brandon (Abbey) Walters, Bryce Walters, Bryant Walters, Joseph Fisher, Trisha Fisher, and Anthony Fisher. Mark was also blessed with 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and was survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sisters, and one cherished grandchild.
Mark had a deep love for the outdoors. He found peace and joy in fishing, gardening, and hunting. He also had a lifelong appreciation for music. His warm spirit, gentle humor, and deep devotion to family will be missed beyond measure.
Visitation will be held July 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Erwin Early officiating. Charles E. Elliott III “Chuck”
Charles E. Elliott III “Chuck”, age 58, of Tipton and formerly of Rogersville, Tennessee, passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, surrounded by his three kids. Chuck was born in Riverside, California, on February 3, 1967, to Charles E. Elliott Jr. and Patricia Sue (Curry) Elliott.
Chuck was a brick mason, owning his own business for more than 35 years. He was a super fan of NASCAR and especially of Dale Earnhardt #3. Chuck was a very funny guy and knew how to have a great time. He was an avid sports fan, cheering for the Titans and Raiders on Sundays. Chuck also loved to pretend to hate the cats, but ensured they were always fed and had catnip. He really loved metal and rock music; Rush, Creed, Kid Rock, AC DC, Def Leopard, and Bon Jovi were a few of his favorites. He always wore bright colors; his neon floral swim trunks were a fan favorite.
He is survived by three children Heather Shuler and husband Christopher, Charles E. Elliott IV, and Kimmi Elliott. Chuck has a sister, Teresa Cannon and husband Donald (Uncle Pete) of Tennessee, as well as three grandchildren Madison Ehman, Aria Shuler, and Chanson Shuler.

Samantha Lynn Gist
Samantha Lynn Gist, 43, Miami, Indiana, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at her home. Born March 21, 1982, in Kokomo, Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of Gary and Peggy (Vandergriff) Gist.
Samantha's life was marked by her kind, caring, and considerate nature. Always with a smile on her face, she was known for her enthusiastic fist bumps, a gesture of her warm and welcoming personality.
Samantha had a profound love for animals, often found feeding birds and squirrels, and she shared her home with beloved cats. Her eclectic taste in music ranged from metal to country, reflecting her vibrant and inclusive spirit. An avid fan of crime shows, Samantha also enjoyed getting her nails done and cherished family gatherings that brought loved ones together. Samantha's kind spirit and loving memory will forever resonate with those who knew her.
She is survived by her parents Gary & Peggy Gist, children Nicholas (Elizabeth) Cottingham II and Abbigail (Jake) Cottingham, fiancé Nicholas Huntsman, stepson Jackson Huntsman, siblings Amy (Charles) Cook and Gary Ray Gist II, niece and nephew Richie Cook and Crystal (Cody) Watson, along with several great-nieces and nephews.

Sally Margaret Fox
Sally Margaret Fox, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away December 11, 2024, at South Point Healthcare Center in Indianapolis. She was born February 27, 1952, in Miami County, Indiana, to Bernard H. and Margaret K. (Pearcy) Fox.
She is survived by two brothers Timothy Fox of Columbia, TN, and Daniel J. (Sandra) Fox of Macy, IN.
Sally was laid to rest next to her parents in the Galveston Cemetery.
