Judith “Judy” Rose (Gillem) Hayes
Judith “Judy” Rose (Gillem) Hayes, 84, of Kokomo, went to be with the Lord at 8:35 pm Sunday February 26, 2023, at Compassus Hospice in Indianapolis, IN. She was born in Kokomo on October 31, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Durham) Gillem. On July 12, 1957, she married Max Eldon Tucker. On January 1, 1983, she married Kenneth W. Hayes, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2007.
Judy was a 1957 graduate of Kokomo High School. She retired from General Motors in 1999 after a career working on the production line. She was kind, compassionate, and was the ultimate caregiver. These traits served her well while working as an operating room technician at St. Joseph Hospital and caring for families as a hostess for over 20 years at Stout Funeral Homes. She was a member of Parkview Mennonite Church. Judy appreciated traveling and was proud of visiting all 50 states. She liked trips to Las Vegas, enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband, and her favorite trip was a road trip up to Alaska. Judy was an avid Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis, Colts, and Indiana University fan.
Judy is survived by her sons, Kent (Kimberly) Tucker, Jerry Tucker, Jeffery (Heather) Tucker; grandchildren, Joshua (Ashlee) Tucker, Jason Tucker, Kristin (Arthur) Pauley, Rachelle Tucker, Sara Nelson, Justin Tucker, Jessica (Shawn) Byrd, Miles Tucker, John “Max” Tucker, Michael Tucker; great-grandchildren, Ryker Tucker, Zayden Tucker, Adalene Pauley, Eli Chalk, Vincent Tucker, Landon Tucker, Madison Byrd, Mathias Tucker; siblings, Elizabeth Fulk, Donna Stevenson, Carolyn (Jack) Randall-Buthley, Russell Gillem, John (Marrianne) Gillem, and Barbara Langley; and daughter-in-law, Pam Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ken Hayes; son, Kirk Tucker; father of their children, Max Eldon Tucker; siblings, Mary Lou and Paul Dunlap, Imogene and Gerald Sanders; Bill Gillem, Ronald Gillem; brothers-in-law, Frances Fulk, Ralph Stevenson, Floyd Langley, Everett Randall; sister-in-law, Judy Gillem.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 pm Thursday March 2, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, IN 46979. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday March 3, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to Parkview Mennonite Church. Judy’s Stout Funeral Home family is honored to assist with arrangements. Bryan Shane Stahl
Bryan Shane Stahl, 50, of Greentown, passed away at his home on Friday, February 24, 2023. He was born November 3, 1972, in Kokomo. He was the son of Steven Gary Stahl and Shirley Diane (Kirby) Bratcher.
Bryan graduated from Taylor High School in 1992 and attended vocational trade school where he earned his HVAC certification. He worked at the meat market in Greentown as a butcher. Bryan enjoyed and fondly remembered playing football with his friends while he was a student at Taylor. He also enjoyed watching movies, being around his family and spending time with his dog, Motley. Bryan was a stand-up guy who was always loving and willing to help. He was a member of the Nevada Church of God.
Survivors include his mother, Diane Bratcher; sister, Traci (John) Dailey; brother, Zak Stahl; step-mother, Marsha Stahl; and several nieces and nephews that he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Stahl; brother, Jason Stahl; and step-father, Raymond Bratcher.
