Lynda Sue (Allen) Batt
Lynda Sue (Allen) Batt, 78, of Kokomo, passed away 4:36 pm Monday March 20, 2023, at Kokomo Place. She was born in Anderson, IN, on September 5, 1944, the daughter of Carl D. and Alice (Davis) Allen. On June 2, 1963, she married Richard Batt, and he survives.
Lynda attended Alexandria Monroe High School. She was the ultimate caretaker and raised her five children and was a loving wife to her husband Dick. She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren. She devoted a lot of time working with the kids at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, where she was a former member. Lynda enjoyed being outdoors and doing yardwork.
Lynda is survived by her husband, Dick Batt; children, Tony Batt, Tammy Batt, Todd Batt, Lisa (Jim) Glover, Robin (Steve) Brewer; grandchildren, Heather Stone, Shane Batt, Carol Batt, Tony (J.T.) Batt, Joshua (Samantha) Despain, Cory Despain, Star (Miguel) Ignacio, Ray (Manuella) Riche, Richard Batt, BreAnna Batt, Larry Batt, Erik Glover, Andrew Glover, Lance Brewer; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Pam (Dale) Nichols, Carol Cranfield, Mary Jo (Mike) Pratt, Jeff (Sherri) Allen, Cindy (Sam) Hilligoss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Alice Allen; aunts and uncles, Mable and Johnny, Ferman and Bob.
Lynda’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the amazing staff at Kokomo Place for the care she received: Susan, Amber, Chrissy, Susan, Brandon, Angie, Miranda, Jennifer, Jerry, Melanie, Brooke, Kelsey, Alizabeth, Debra, Rheanna, Madison, Romelia, Cynthia, Rosemary, Debbie, Latanya, Taylor, Maria. Also, a thank you to her hospice nurses from Elara Caring, Cathy and LeAnn “Hair Lady”.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 8 pm Friday March 24, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, IN 46979. Funeral service will be begin at 11 am Saturday March 25, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home in Russiaville, with Pastor Robert Barlett officiating. Brandon Shane Gibson
Brandon Shane Gibson, 39, Kokomo, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023. He was born December 22, 1983 to Chris and Katrina (Gibson) Thorrington.
Brandon will be remembered as a good father who dearly loved his children. He cherished time spent with family and had a funny quick-witted sense of humor. Brandon also enjoyed golf and listening to music in his spare time.
He is survived by his parents; children, Gage Gibson, Jenica Gibson, Madysen Gibson, Dara Gibson, Jace Gibson, and Riya Gibson; brother, Randy Gibson; and a sister, Courtney Mosier.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, David “Waylon” Gibson; and uncle, Mike Sharp.
A celebration of Brandon’s life will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road.
