Kent H. Milburn
Kent H Milburn, 87, Russiaville, passed away at 1:42 am on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at his home. He was born June 17, 1936, in Anderson, the son of the late Darrell H. and Martha (Reeves) Milburn. On August 26, 1955, he married Martha Colwell in Russiaville, and she survives.
Kent was a 1954 graduate of Western High School. He retired from Delco Electronics after 33 years of service. Kent was a member, deacon, elder, and teacher of Main Street Christian Church in Russiaville. He was the director of The Ark Christian Camp for 3 years, Director of Civil Defense for 3 years, Alexander Christian Foundation for 3 years, and coach of the Western Softball team from 1985 to 2012. Kent enjoyed collecting stamps, baseball cards, and sports autographs.
In addition to his wife Martha, Kent is survived by his children, Brent (Sue) Milburn, Brian (Roxanne) Milburn, Brook (Kim) Milburn, Sherri (Doug) Roberts, and Brad (Pam) Milburn; grandchildren, Adam (Stacy) Milburn, Andy (Shannon Schuster) Milburn, Wes (Samantha) Milburn, Jeri (Wes) Fletcher, Brett Milburn, Rebekah Milburn, Kassi (Keegan) Hallabrin, Ryne (Brianne) Roberts, Kyler Roberts, Tyler Stodgell, Shelby (Kole) Hobbs, and Benjamin Milburn; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Kathy Knight, and Jan (Mike) Koloszar; and sister-in-law, Linda Milburn.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Jay Knight; and brother, Bruce J Milburn.
A Memorial Service will take place at 3 pm Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Main Street Christian Church, 220 W. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Dave Woods officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1 pm until the start of the service on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the church. Stout & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
