Lloyd Allen Lindley
Lloyd Allen Lindley, 96, Mansfield, Texas, formerly of Russiaville and Plainfield Indiana, was called to his heavenly home on March 14, 2023.
Lloyd was born at home in Howard County, Indiana to the late Clyde and Catherine (Oilar) Lindley. On February 10, 1957, he married Virginia Swift of Plainfield Indiana.
Lloyd graduated from Russiaville School System in 1944. He graduated from Earlham College in 1949, where his studies enriched his Christian faith. Lloyd was a birthright member of Russiaville Friends Meeting working with local and Western Yearly Meeting. He often served as interim Pastor. Lloyd was called to be a member of the Board of Trustees of Earlham College. Upon graduation he farmed with his beloved dad. He also served on various farm organizations. He loved to travel and enjoyed his dream trip to Australia.
Along with his wife, Lloyd is survived by his children, Alesa (Lindley) Kimble, Dale Lindley; grandchildren, Elaine Kimble, Lauren and Dustin Williams, Sean Lindley; great grandchildren, Lilly Williams, and Deacon Williams; his beloved sister, Meriam Lindley Peebles, Vaughn Peebles, many nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the Russiaville Friends Church, 270 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN., with friend and Pastor, Philip Gulley, officiating. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Russiaville Friends Church or the Plainfield Friends Church, 105 S. East Street, Plainfield, IN. 46168. Stout & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
