Richard Ellis Grimes
Richard Ellis Grimes, age 84, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024.
A graveside service with military rites for Richard will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, Mausoleum Chapel of Peace, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902.
Margaret E. “Maggie” Kline
Margaret E. “Maggie” Kline, 80, Kokomo, died at 9:25 am on Sunday, March 3, 2024. She was born July 1, 1943, in Kokomo, the daughter of Verle & Anna Margaret (Ewing) Mast. On October 6, 1979, in Kokomo, she married Patrick E. Kline who preceded her in death March 11, 2021.
Maggie was a 1962 graduate of Kokomo High School. She retired from the Dietary department at St. Joseph Hospital after 32 years of service. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Stamp Club of Kokomo. She enjoyed participating in historical reenactments and rug hooking.
Maggie is survived by her brother, Sam (Pat) Mast; stepchildren, Philip (Joyce) Kline, Missy (Eddie) Diaz; step-grandchildren, Abby (Tyler) Johnson, Jake Kline, Jeremiah Kline, Scotty Lawson, Jared Kline, Ali (Spencer) Merchant, John (Lauren) Diaz, Christina (Steve) Clontz, Sarah Snapp; ten step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parent, adoptive parents, Lloyd & Vada Ewing; sisters, Helen Modelski Kirkpatrick, Mary Katheryn “Katie” Conn, Sr. Loretta Ewing; and her brother, Robert Mast.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 N. Washington Street, Kokomo, with the Rev. Fr. Kyle Neterer and the Rev. Fr. David Huemmer the celebrants. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 am until Mass time at the church on Wednesday. The Rosary will be offered at 10:40 am Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maggie’s memory to St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Monastery of the Poor Clares or to the Kokomo Humane Society. Carole Moline Record
Carole Moline Record, 78, Kokomo, passed away at 4:30 am on March 4, 2024, at Legacy of Waterford. She was born on December 26, 1945, the daughter of the late Robert and Elaine (Moline) Record.
Carole graduated from Kokomo High School in 1964. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital. She was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church and the Altrusa Club. Carole enjoyed taking photographs, being outside, gardening, riding horses, and crafting.
Carole is survived by her son, Gregory (Susan) Hendershot; granddaughters, Jacey Hendershot, and Breanna (Caleb) Strom; sister, Amy Ann Hildreth; and nephews; Bob and Bert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Reese Hendershot.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Fr. Richard Lightsey officiating. A private inurnment will take place in St. Andrew Episcopal Church. Friends may visit with the family from 4 pm to 7 pm on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carole’s memory to St. Andrew Episcopal Church, Wounded Warriors Project, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
