Brian Timothy Pryor
Brian Timothy Pryor, 47, Bringhurst, passed away at 10:32 pm on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. He was born in Hobart, IN. on November 23, 1975, to Denard Delrio and Johnny Eresena (Thompson) Pryor. On August 3, 2019, he married Amy McCoy, and she survives.
Brian graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1994 and Purdue University with a bachelor’s in management and supervision. He loved spending time with his family.
Brian is survived by his wife, Amy; mother, Johnny; children, Zakari, Mariah, Andre, Rayna, and Kendall; siblings, Matthew Pryor, Dante (LaToya) Pryor, and Danona Pryor; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Denard, grandparents, and his sister-in-law.
A funeral service will take place at 1 pm on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Crossroads Community Christian Church, 3570 E. 200 S., Bringhurst, IN., with his brother, Dante Pryor giving the eulogy. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help assist the family with final expenses. Stout & Son Funeral Home-Neptune Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
Katherine “Katie” Elizabeth Tolley
Katherine “Katie” Elizabeth Tolley, 30, passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Monday May 1, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent, Kokomo. She was born in Lafayette, Indiana on April 2, 1993, to James A. Tolley and Gina M. (Anthony) Rayn.
Katie went to Lewis Cass Jr-Sr High School and later worked for Indiana Packers. She enjoyed being around her close friends.
Survivors include her mother, Gina; daughter, Natalie B. Banta; brothers, James Rayn, Ryan Rayn, and Nicholas Rayn; sisters, Samantha Tolley, Chelsea Tolley, Rebecca Rayn, and Brooklyn Rayn; step-father, Daniel Rayn; nieces, Elliana Branch, and Audrianna Rayn; nephews, Caiman Smith, Cameron Smith, and Gavin Tolly; and grandfather, Michael Anthony.
Katie was proceeded in death by her father; grandfather, Rodney Tolley; and grandmothers, Nancy Tolley and Bonnie Anthony.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Carpenter’s House Church, 37 W. 550 N., Kokomo, with Pastor Paul Sutherland officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home in Kokomo. Matthew “Matt” Alan Johnson
Matthew “Matt” Alan Johnson, 57, of Russiaville, went to be with the Lord at 6:46 am Tuesday May 9, 2023, at Community Howard Regional Health. He was born in Kokomo on May 10, 1965, the son of Jack and Lois (Roberts) Johnson.
Matt was a graduate of Western High School. He earned an Associate Degree in Computer Drafting from Purdue University. He was employed at Fortune Management in Kokomo. Matt prioritized his relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He formerly attended the Methodist Church in West Middleton, and more recently attended church in Lapel, IN. He was active on the Sunday Worship team and played drums. He was musically gifted and played in the Western High School Marching Band and Purdue University Marching Band. Matt was the kindest man with the best manners. He enjoyed coaching P.A.L soccer, listening to music, watching Sci-Fi movies, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He adored time spent with his nieces and nephews.
Matt is survived by his mother, Lois Johnson; brothers, Martin Johnson, Mark Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Johnson; brother, Michael Johnson; paternal grandparents, Glenn Johnson and Loretta Mitchell; and maternal grandparents, Ray and Lydia Roberts.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 am to Noon Saturday May 13, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, IN 46979. Funeral service will begin at Noon on Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Andrew L. Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery. Jeanne Ann (Stych) Dunlap
Jeanne Ann (Stych) Dunlap, 90, went to heaven on the evening of May 2, 2023, in Conway, South Carolina, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Fallon Goodson.
Jeanne was born on April 8, 1933, in Kokomo IN to William Henry and Ruth Marie (Vurpillate) Stych. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1951 and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Ball State University in 1955. She received her master’s degree in education from Ball State in 1964.
After college, Jeanne married W. Robert Jackson in 1955. He died in 1970. In 1974, she married Richard D. Dunlap. They blended their two families and enjoyed life together for 37 years in Kokomo and in Ft. Myers, FL until he passed away in 2012.
Jeanne always had a special love for children and a gifted way of interacting with kids. She was a teacher in Kokomo elementary schools from 1955-1961 and enjoyed substitute teaching while raising her family. After her own children were grown, she taught Sunday school for many years at Christian and Missionary Alliance churches in Kokomo and Fort Myers.
A dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Jeanne loved being with her family. She especially treasured time with her grandchildren and loved playing with them and building into them. Jeanne loved God. Her faith guided her life. She volunteered in many ways at church over the years and had a positive impact on countless lives. She enjoyed socializing and hosting gatherings for friends and family. She could light up a room, and was known for her great sense of humor, and for making people feel noticed and loved.
She is survived by Rick Dunlap (Diana), Kristy Dunlap (Linda Gerow), Kerry Dunlap (Judy), Becky Dunlap, MaryAnn Jackson (James Beiswanger), and Nancy Goodson (Fallon). Grandchildren Eric Dunlap, Scott Dunlap (Stephanie, deceased), Lori Kunath (Hank), Samantha Lane (Bradley), Jennifer Morris (Kyle), Cain Beiswanger, and Hannah Beiswanger. Great grandchildren Quinn, Austin, and Wesley Kunath, and Evan, Gavin, and Deacon Morris; several nieces and nephews including Debbie Glass (Gregg), Mike McCool (Julie), Bob McCool (Lorraine), Mike Dunlap (Paula), and Doug Dunlap (Jamie); sister in law Greta Dunlap.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dick Dunlap and sister Mary Jo McCool; her in-laws Harry McCool, Robert Dunlap, John Dunlap, Larry Dunlap; son Brett Dunlap; and grandchildren Loyd Dunlap, Justin Dunlap, and Scott’s wife Stephanie Dunlap.
A memorial service celebrating Jeanne’s life will be held at 3:00 Wednesday, May 17 at Shirley & Stout Lincoln Road Chapel (1315 Lincoln Road, Kokomo IN). Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 – 3 pm at the same location. Burial in New London cemetery will follow the service.

Monica Ann VanSchoick
Monica Ann VanSchoick, 71, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 2:42 pm. She was born February 15, 1952, to Leslie and Lucille (Iverson) Sachow.
Monica attended Wadena High School in Minnesota where she graduated and went on to attend Ivy Tech Community College. She worked many jobs throughout her life including Goodwill where she received an award for being employee of the year. She also worked at several gas stations and restaurants.
Monica was a member of the “Clubhouse” in Kokomo, and she loved picking up responsibilities and helping others there. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church, where she was a devoted member. She helped serve in the kitchen and loved the Lord deeply and those around her. She was a gifted artist and loved creating art by drawing and painting. She was a very loving mother who was proud of her sons. She will be dearly missed by both her sons.
Survivors include her sons, Michael VanSchoick and Matthew (Meredith) VanSchoick; grandchildren, Spencer VanSchoick, Brianna VanSchoick, Evan VanSchoick, Logan VanSchoick, and Elise VanSchoick; sister, Marry (Sam) Phillips; and close friends, Kelly and Rita, who were as scripture says. Proverbs 18:24 “A man of many friends may come to ruin, but there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.” These two friends were truly loving and compassionate, always there in both good times and bad. And last but not least, her family member, and companion, who shared such a strong bond with Monica, her dog “Itty”
Proceeding her in death were her parents and her brother, Gregg Sachow.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Crossroads Community Church 4254 S 00 EW, Kokomo, with Pastor Dave Welsh officiating. A private burial will take place in Crown Point Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
