Daphne Pasquale
Daphne Pasquale, 74, passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her home. She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on August 10, 1948, the daughter of Joseph Pasquale and Olympia (Mello) Pasquale.
Daphne was a graduate of the 1967 class of Kokomo High School. She worked as a supervisor of K-Mart and she loved doing many crafts including needle work, quilting, and sewing. She always focused on her son and was a very dedicated and active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church where she was member of the Legion of Mary.
Survivors include her son, Scott Pasquale; cousins, Diane Damron and Pam (Penny Sheppard) Mello Walters; sister-in-law, Lucinda Spencer; nieces, Kristen (Matt) Graig and Karen (John) Bowman; nephews, Andy Pasquale and Brad (Kelly) Pasquale, and many great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Douglas Pasquale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3155 County Road S. 200 W., Kokomo, with Rev. Fr. Christopher Shocklee the celebrant. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, at the church. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church or Monastery of the Poor Clares. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes. Libby Harrison
Libby Harrison, age 69, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. She was born June 4th, 1953.
Libby graduated from Haworth High School in 1971 where she was a member of the concert choir. She loved nothing more than to sing. On more than a few occasions, Libby wrote songs that actually appeared on the radio! Libby also co-owned a ranch and showed horses frequently. She loved animals especially horses and dogs, but none more than the Australian Shepard dog. If Libby wasn't out with her horses, she loved to spend time with her friends and family. For those that knew her, she was the most kind and patient person you'd meet. She is, and will be missed.
Surviving are her children Brandon Warren (Julia); their children Hannah, Trey and Kiersi; brothers Mike Harrison (Debbie), Tim Harrison (Stacee), Brannon Harrison (ChrisAnn); one sister Jo Harrison; special friends Jennie Stuber (Jesse), Kelly Hall (Charlie), Sharon Mosier (longest living friend); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her parents William and Vera Harrison; sister Terry Leigh; grandparents Fred and Hazel Roberts, along with Roy and Lucille Harkins.

James Wayne Baker
James Wayne Baker (Jim) was born in Hartford City, Indiana, on June 17th, 1937, to Robert and Edna Marie Baker (Stahlsmith). Jim and brother Donald Baker and sister Edna Mae all grew up in Montpelier, Indiana.
On Nov 27, 1954, he married his love Loretta (Jane) Lawrence. Together they have 3 Daughters, Carol Adams (Michael Hatcher) Cocoa Beach, Fl; Shirley Hoggatt (Bernie Hoggatt) Kokomo, IN; Marilyn Baker Courtney Sharpsville, IN. Also, 6 Grandchildren Jason (Shannon) Courtney, Katrina (David) Bray, Shawn (Kristen) Douglas, Bonnie Baker, Shannon Stephens (Robert Cox) Brandi Douglas (Brandon Pennington) and 17 Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both parents Robert and Edna, Son in law Raymond (Chico) Adams and great granddaughter Talayeh Barnett.
Jim took care of his family always. He was in the National Guard for 2 years then went to work for 3M in Hartford City. In 1968 he was then hired by Chrysler as a millwright until he retired after a bad car accident in 1997. Afterwards, he and Jane did some traveling and made a home for themselves in Florida for awhile. He loved fishing, woodworking and bowling but what he loved the most was the warm Florida weather and his family. The Lord took him home at 2:41A.M on May 17th. No services, we will have a celebration of life for immediate family.
Bryan Keith Branum
Bryan Keith Branum, 57, Kokomo, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. He was born April 29, 1966, in Anderson, the son of James F. Branum & Linda L. (Brooks) Jarrett.
Bryan was a 1984 graduate of Kokomo High School. He loved music and taught himself how to play the guitar. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and collecting eagles. In his younger years, Bryan was in the Boy Scouts and was baptized at the age of 10. He enjoyed making people laugh, loved telling jokes and never had a single enemy.
Bryan is survived by his mother, Linda L. Jarrett; son, Nicholas (Cheyenne) Branum; grandchildren, Emeryrose, Sylus and Jensyn; brothers, Jeff (Tina) Branum and Stanley Branum; stepmother, Carolyn Branum; and best friend, Larry Stiner.
Bryan was preceded in death by his father, James F. Branum; stepfather, Bill Jarrett; sister, Mavis Lee Branum; a grandchild, Elijah; and his grandparents.
A funeral service will be held at Noon Monday, May 22, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Terry Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 am until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
Carol Rose Johnson
Carol Rose Johnson, 88, of Greentown, IN passed away on May 18, 2023. She was born on June 16, 1934 in Kokomo, Indiana the daughter of John H. and Vivienne L. Barkley (Coburn). On January 28, 1966 she married James C. Johnson who preceded her in death on April 9, 2016.
Carol graduated from Eastern High School in 1952. She retired from Delco Electronics in 1989 after 31 years. Carol loved cross stitching, needle work and gardening. Carol and her husband lived in Port Orange, Florida for many years and had several friends there. She enjoyed lunches with friends in Kokomo. She loved her family very much.
Surviving relatives include two children, Catherine R. Coburn (Charles) of Kokomo, IN; Michael E. Kaufman (Catherine) of Wachula, FL; three step children, Debra F. Goodin (David) of Rockville, IN; James M. Johnson (Yun) of Virginia Beach, VA; three grandchildren, Amy Julian (Edward) of Brazil, IN; Janna Meiring (Li Montalvo) of Philadelphia, PA; Susannah Odom (Jason) of Omaha, NE; three great grandchildren Liam, Eliza, and Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother John R. Barkley; one sister Louis E. Harmon and a step-son Timothy A. Johnson.
Private arrangements are being handled by Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center.
Barbara Louise Johnson
Barbara Louise Johnson, age 76, of Peru, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023. She was born on July 30, 1946 to the late John and Mabel (Stewart) Kerlin in Kokomo, In. Barbara married Larry Johnson on December 21, 1974 in Kokomo, and he preceded her in death in 2017. From this union, one daughter, Maggie Johnson, was born.
Barbara graduated from Kokomo High School in 1964. She retired from General Motors in 90's after many years of employment. She was also a member of the UAW #292. Barbara was a member of the Psalms Bible Study at Morning Star Church. She enjoyed playing euchre and belonged in monthly Euchre club. Barbara had a strong connection with all birds and loved flowers. She also loved her rescue dog, Daisy.
She is survived by many family members and friends who mourn her.
