Michael Thomas Huffer
Michael Thomas Huffer, 64, Kokomo, passed away at 1:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Brickyard Healthcare in Kokomo. He was born October 31, 1958, in Howard County, Indiana, the son of Kenneth D. and Grace L (Jernagan) Huffer.
Michael was a 1978 graduate of Western High School. He enjoyed riding ATVs and drag racing. He farmed for several years before he got into body work at Watkins Body Shop.
Michael is survived by his brothers, Ron (Sandy) Huffer and Terry (Jeanie) Huffer; sister-in-law, Joyce Huffer; nieces and nephews, Rhonda (Travis) Strong, Kevin Ellison, Charles Shaffer Jr., Sherry Hester, Carol (Troy) Chaney, Crystal (Carlos) Hernandez, Rick (Tonya) Huffer, Kathy Huffer, Jennifer (Chad) Barlow, Jason (Amy) Huffer, Julie (Boone) Aldridge, Amy Black, Debbie (Brian) Wilcox, Ashley (Joe) Rumph; and former brother-in-law, Fred Walker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Barbara Keifer, Sandra Huffer, and Beverly Walker; brother, Larry Huffer; niece, Becky Willis; and sisters-in-law, Judy Huffer and Patty Huffer.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Kevin Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 am until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Scott A. Raisor
Scott A. Raisor, 61, of Camden, passed away at 1:07 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Life Care Center in Rochester. He was born February 27, 1962, in Logansport, to John M. and Janet M. (Dittmer) Raisor. He married Edna M. Zell, on May 16, 1981, at the First Landmark Baptist Church in Kokomo, and she survives.
Scott attended Taylor High School and later earned his associate’s degree in welding from Ivy Tech. He worked at Honda in Logansport which led him to earn his certification as a Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha Mechanic. Scott also worked as the Head of Maintenance for Transco Railway Products for 16 years. He later became a licensed electrician and ran his own business, Raisor’s Repair, from 2003 to 2018. He was a member of Region 4 ABATE for 10 years. Scott was a protective brother, loving husband, supportive father, fun-loving Papaw and loyal friend. He enjoyed riding his Harley and building or rebuilding motorcycles, cars and 4 wheelers. He loved classic rock. Scott cherished spending time with his family and was most proud of being Papaw to Paisley. He had the biggest heart, was kind to everyone, and would help a stranger in need never expecting anything in return.
In addition to his wife, Edna Raisor, survivors include his children, Jamie Raisor and Justin Scott (Brooke) Raisor; granddaughter, Paisley Mae; siblings, Kris Cole and Kelly (Jim) Craig; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the funeral home. Chad Edward Howerton
Chad Edward Howerton, age 48, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Chad was born in Danville, Illinois.
A public visitation for Chad will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
The family has requested that all visitors wear their favorite Marvel or Star Wars, costume or clothing, in Chad's honor.

Donna Maxine Baer
Donna Maxine Baer, a long-time resident of Kokomo, passed from this world to be with her savior, Jesus Christ, after a short encounter with pancreatic cancer on May 19, 2023, in Lansing, MI. She was born Donna Shields to Hazel and Harley Shields in Economy, Indiana on July 5, 1934.
She was raised in Economy, graduating from Economy High School in 1952. She attended Ball State University, where she was graduated from the Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1955 with a Diploma of Nursing. Donna worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years, with most of that time in Kokomo at St. Joseph Hospital and West Sycamore Medical Center.
Donna married Charles Baer of Kokomo in 1955. Donna and Charlie had three children, Suzanne (John) Johnson, who resides in Okemos, MI., daughter Becky who died in 1977, and son Scott who died in 2020.
In addition to Suzanne, Donna is also survived by three grandchildren, Bradley (Kaitlin) Johnson of Wixom, MI; Erin (Devin) Johnson Carlson of Morrice, MI; and Charles Baer of Kokomo, IN; as well as six great grandchildren – Dylan, Emmalyn and Charlotte Carlson of Morrice, MI; and Avery, Mila and Kiera Johnson of Wixom, MI.
No services will take place. Donna was cremated and interred in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home. Donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Messages of condolence may be made online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
Barbara Louise Johnson
Barbara Louise Johnson, age 76, of Peru, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023. She was born on July 30, 1946 to the late John and Mabel (Stewart) Kerlin in Kokomo, In. Barbara married Larry Johnson on December 21, 1974 in Kokomo, and he preceded her in death in 2017. From this union, one daughter, Maggie Johnson, was born.
Barbara graduated from Kokomo High School in 1964. She retired from General Motors in 90's after many years of employment. She was also a member of the UAW #292. Barbara was a member of the Psalms Bible Study at Oakbrook Community Church. She enjoyed playing euchre and belonged in monthly Euchre club. Barbara had a strong connection with all birds and loved flowers. She also loved her rescue dog, Daisy.
She is survived by many family members and friends who mourn her.
Private services will be held at a later date.
