Rosie B Burton
Rosie B Burton, 91, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born in Columbia, Kentucky to the late David and Pert Irvin.
Rosie married Marshall H. Burton October 20, 1952. He preceded her 16 years ago on the same date of her passing. Together they raised two sons, and Rosie was the best mother to them. She worked at Haynes for over 20 years in the wax department, and then from 1977 to 2008 she was housekeeper for St. Joseph Hospital. Rosie even won employee of the month.
She could be best described as rotten, a real spitfire. Her grandchildren loved how ornery she was, and she loved messing with them.
She is survived by her sons Phil Burton and Gary (Tammy) Burton; grandchildren Courtney Burton, Luke (Sara) Burton, Samantha (Cody) Hinkle, Megan (Rodney) Schaffer, Heather (Jimmy) Simpson, and Danielle (Logan) Schaffner. She also leaves behind 16 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rosie is preceded in death by all of her siblings William "Luther" Irvin, Ernest "Smallboy" Irvin, Matthew Irvin, Ed Irvin, Marshall Irvin, Ida Cowan, and Adalee Burton.
A public visitation for Rosie will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rosie's memory may be made to her church Hillsdale Community Church, 4893 County Rd E 100 N, Kokomo, Indiana 46901.
Betty Jean Tyler
Betty Jean Tyler, age 74, of Russiaville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. She was born March 16, 1949 in Kokomo, Indiana, to Richard and Bernadean (Hickman) Beheler, where she grew up. She met and fell in love with Charles L. Tyler when she was 10 years old, telling a friend she would marry him some day, and she did! They were married May 6, 1967 and had 2 children. She loved shopping with best friend Debbie Lewis and sisters-in-law Sharon and Sue Tyler. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas, when she would bake cookies and make candies. She loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She was a second momma to all the neighborhood kids. She will be greatly missed by those who were lucky enough to have known her.
Betty is survived by daughter, Kelly Prifogle & other half, David Roberts; son, Chuck Tyler & other half, Nancy Randolph; granddaughters, Deseree' (Sean) White, Heather (Bob) Best, Bobbi Bolen, and Alyssa Tyler & other half, Sam Patane; brothers, Jim (Heidi) Beheler, and Dick Beheler; as well as 6 great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews (including her favorite, Mary Nail).
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles L. Tyler; brother, Don Beheler; and sisters, Peggy Cole and Joyce Haworth.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 11 am until the funeral service begins at 1 pm, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo.

Russell Taylor “Rusty” Jarrett
Russell Taylor “Rusty” Jarrett, 87, passed away on November 27, 2023, at Northwoods Village in Kokomo. He was born in Noblesville, Indiana on October 18, 1936, to Bertie and Mary (Long) Jarrett. On June 3, 1995, in Oakford, Indiana, he married Loretta Weese, and she survives.
Rusty worked for Bagley’s Construction as a construction worker, until 1972. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. In his younger years, he loved to bowl and fish; he was also skilled at woodworking. Rusty was a good, loving Christian man.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Loretta; children, Russell (Tina) Jarrett Jr., and Tracey Jarrett; grandchildren, Melissa and Alice; 5 great-grandchildren; 5 step-children; sister, Garnet Webster; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
