Daniel Joe Allen
Daniel Joe Allen passed away peacefully October 27, 2023, at 8 am just short of his 70th birthday. Born November 4, 1953, to John and Nellie Allen. He graduated from Haworth High in 1972, in Kokomo, Indiana. He married the love of his life, Linda Kay Miller on November 16, 1974.
Dan worked hard all his life. He swept garage floors as a young child to make extra money, then worked at the Pickle factory (where he met his wife), then at PPG, and at the North End Shell and Maple Shell. He ended up making his career at Chrysler, where he spent 30 years. He loved to build wooden toys for kids and adults alike. He built our family home and also built another smaller home.
Surviving Family include his wife of 48 years, Linda Kay Allen; son, Jeremiah Allen; daughters, Danielle (Dustin) Poe and Tarra (Devon) Yoder; grandchildren, Hannah Poe, Logan Poe, Crosby Darnell, Marley Darnell, Avett Yoder and Hazel Yoder.
Preceding him in death was his parents, John and Nellie Allen, and siblings, Ronald Allen, John Allen, Dorothy Holmes, Donna Hines and Rose Roberts.
There will be a time for visitation on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon.

Estelle Garza Miller
Estelle Garza Miller, age 59, of Sharpsville, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. She was born to Leonell "Leo" Garza and Maria Lucinda "Lucy" (Peres) Garza on June 6, 1964 in Brownsville, Texas. She graduated from New Mexico State, in Las Cruces, NM in 1986. She married Christopher Beck June 15, 1985 and after she graduated, they moved to Kokomo. They had a son, Ian Beck, October 4, 1993. Later, she married her second husband, Jeffrey Miller, December 24, 2006. She liked sewing, baking and working on puzzles. She greatly enjoyed reading and sci-fi shows (Star Trek). She loved her family and spending time playing with them on game nights.
Estelle is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Miller; son, Ian (Dori) Beck; daughter, Karlee (Pete) Loftus; sisters, Rebecca (Gaeton) Falance and Veronica (David) Reem; grandchildren, Lillian and Everett; nephews, Brandon, Taylor, Kyle and Jared; friend, Jodyne; numerous friends and co-workers from Delco/Delphi; friends in the ladies card club; really, anyone she's ever met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lucy Garza.
There will be a celebration of Estelle's life on Wednesday, November 1, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. There will not be a formal service, as that is not what Estelle wanted! There will be an open mic for friends and loved ones to share memories during the celebration, and all are encouraged to do so.
