Charles D. “Tiny” Nelson
Charles D. “Tiny” Nelson, 78, of Sharpsville, passed away at 5:52 a.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at his home. He was born February 5, 1945, in Springfield, Ohio, to Charles Edward and Thelma Marie (Hale) Nelson.
Tiny retired from the quality control department at Chrysler and was a member of UAW Local 685. He loved sports, especially Ohio State and golfing, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. He was a member of Beulah Land Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Fording and Lori Nelson; grandchildren, Ashley Nelson, Heather Shively, Amanda (Chris) Mason, Cody Boruff, Brooke (Julio) Azpeitia, and Shaina (Andrew) Brock; several great-grandchildren; niece, Brandelyn (Brock) Nelson Hillman; and nephew, Tyler Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Patrick Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Lori Melton officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Tiny’s memory to the American Diabetes Association. David Eugene Rutherford
David Eugene Rutherford, 73, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away September 13, 2023. He was born on November 1, 1949 in Dallas, Texas the son of Evert E. Rutherford and Jean (Disney) Monroe. Dave loved vintage cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, spending time with his grandchildren, and working. He retired from Chrysler after 49 years. He really enjoyed cleaning and was very meticulous about his appearance. He liked watching and participating in drag races and won two motorcycles.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving sons, Cole, Dax; grandchildren, Aurora, Odette, Oliver; sister, Susan.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wesley.

Edward “Ed” Neil Moore
Edward “Ed” Neil Moore, 66, Marion, passed away at 8:18 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Marion Health Hospital. Ed was born on July 14, 1957, in Manton, MI to Albert Moore and Ruth Helga Sorensen.
Edward served with the United States Marine Corps.
Ed is survived by his children, Chris Moore, Lisa Moore, Stephanie Pandey, Jeff Sink, Neil Moore, Ericka Moore and Perry Moore; 19 grandchildren; brothers, Ron Moore, Henry Moore and David Moore; and sisters, Sandra Doyle and Liz Winn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Nancy Talsma and Ricky Helms.
In keeping with Ed’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards Edward’s funeral expenses.
