Ronald “Ron” Wayne Hamilton

Ronald “Ron” Wayne Hamilton, 80, Kokomo, passed away at 3:20 pm Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. He was born December 3, 1942, in Linton, IN, the son of the late Floyd and Geraldine (Chipman) Hamilton. On May 24, 1985, he married Lucinda Lamb in Russiaville, who preceded him in death on March 13, 2010.

Ron was a 1961 graduate of Western High School. In 2006, he retired from the Kokomo Tribune after 35 years of service. Ron was a member of Russiaville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, bowling, and playing cards.

Ron is survived by his 3 sons, Joseph (Laurie Turner) Hamilton, Thomas (Jennifer) Hamilton, and James (Summer) Hamilton; grandchildren, Stephanie, Taylor, Bobby, Austin, Lyndsey, Dakota, Kylie, Tyler, Anthony, Preston, Cheyanna, Chelsea, Chiara, Gianna, and Ocean; great-grandchildren, Harper, Emma, Ava, Brynlee, Michael, Vincent, Samuel, Julian, and Miles; and siblings, Myron (Alice) Hamilton, and Sandy Cline.

In addition to his wife Lucinda, Ron was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ted Hamilton, Larry Hamilton, and Elizabeth Clark; step-son, Jerry Brown; and brother-in-law, Charlie Cline.

A funeral service will be held at 12 pm Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Jason Grant officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10 am until the start of the service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
