As part of the School Liaison Grant, the Howard County Health Department is sponsoring four boot camps for education professionals this summer. Fortunately, the boot camp scheduled for this week has several spots available! The boot camp is worth 15 PGP's and 3 hours of credit through IWU.
Event date and slots open: June 6/7: 7-8 slots
Slots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Interested teachers should reach out to all of the following individuals due to the last-minute registration:

Bootcamp schedule:
Day 1:
* 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.: Registration check-in opens with coffee
* 8:00 a.m. (sharp): Bootcamp begins
* 12:30 p.m.: Lunch (30 minutes catered lunch)
* 1:00 p.m.: Class resumes
* 4:30 p.m.: End of day 1
Day 2:
* 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.: Registration check-in opens with coffee
* 8:00 a.m. (sharp): Bootcamp begins
* 12:30 p.m.: Lunch (30 minutes catered lunch)
* 1:00 p.m.: Class resumes
* 4:20 p.m.: Certificates presented with photos taken
* 4:30 p.m.: End of day 2 and program
For the boot camps, lunch will be offered for each of the two days. Catering order will be from Panera both days. Planned food order will include:
Day 1 will include a variety of sandwiches, chips, cookies, and a large seasonal salad; Day 2 will include a variety of soups, french baguette bread, cookies, and a large chicken Caesar salad.
Additionally, throughout the day, bottled water, lemonade, coffee, and tea will be provided, as well as snacks like granola bars, trail mix, etc.
Instructor: IWU instructor Kalena James is scheduled to teach the boot camp.
All four of the participating school districts have elected to hold their bootcamps at the Kokomo Thriving Center of Indiana Wesleyan University, 1916 E. Markland Ave., located in front of Walmart.
