The debut season of the Kokomo Creek Chubs is quickly approaching, and excitement throughout the city is beginning to grow stronger by the day. On June 26, Kokomo will witness the first home game in franchise history, marking the return of summer baseball to a community that has deeply missed it.
There has been an undeniable void in the city. Baseball has always been more than just a sport in Kokomo. It is part of the community’s identity, its summertime atmosphere, and its tradition of bringing families together under the lights.
Now, a little more than a year later, the Creek Chubs are bringing that energy back. The organization is creating opportunities for college-aged athletes to continue developing their game during the summer while also giving local fans a team they can proudly support. There is a sense of renewed hope surrounding the franchise, and many believe this could be the beginning of something special for Kokomo baseball.
On May 18, Titan Baseball Bats hosted a media day, announcing its partnership with the Creek Chubs and inviting several media outlets to help showcase the collaboration and vision behind it. One major point of excitement surrounding the partnership is the belief that offense and entertainment go hand-in-hand. The Creek Chubs are expected to play an aggressive style of baseball focused on putting runs on the board and giving fans an exciting experience every time they step into Municipal Stadium. To accomplish that, players need confidence in the tools they use at the plate.
Titan Baseball Bats has built a strong reputation for quality and performance. The company’s story began when Trampas Young crafted a bat for his son, eventually leading to growing demand and the development of the business. The performance of the bats quickly became noticeable. One memorable story involved Young’s son, who hit three home runs in his first game using the wooden bat as a freshman in high school, causing quite a stir during the game.
However, for both the Creek Chubs and Titan Baseball, the partnership extends beyond the game itself. Creek Chubs owner and Kokomo baseball legend Joe Thatcher, along with Titan visionary Trampas Young, believe the relationship is rooted in community, connection, and shared passion for the sport. Titan President Sharard Clinkscales also expressed confidence that the partnership will not only help the Creek Chubs succeed on the field but also continue elevating the Titan brand throughout the baseball world.
The countdown is officially on for the first pitch. Fans can expect energy, passion, and a brand of baseball that Kokomo can rally behind all summer long. The Creek Chubs open their inaugural home season on May 26 at 6:35 p.m. at Municipal Stadium in Kokomo. Be there, it’s going to be exciting, and you dont want to miss it!
