Prospective students are invited to explore the many opportunities offered in Ivy Tech Kokomo’s School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering & Applied Science on Oct. 24 when the next “Tuesday@TheTech” focuses on technology careers.
This is one of a series of monthly events aimed at sharing Ivy Tech’s broad range of programming with prospective students of all ages. This event is set for 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the Logansport Campus at 1 Ivy Tech Way.
“We are excited to focus on the broad range of programs offered in this area – everything from precision agriculture to advanced manufacturing to automotive technology to building construction to welding,” said Derry Ebert, vice chancellor for Enrollment Services for the Ivy Tech Kokomo Service Area, which includes Cass, Fulton, Howard, Miami, Pulaski and Tipton counties. “Staff members will be on hand to talk about the admissions process, enrollment, and financial aid, as well as the many services Ivy Tech offers to help our students succeed.”

Kokomo Symphony’s Golden Gala this weekend
The Kokomo Symphony Orchestra will celebrate its 50th year with a Golden Gala Concert on Sat., Oct. 21. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at Havens Auditorium on the Indiana University Kokomo campus, 2300 S. Washington St.
Be swept away to the streets of Paris with Gerschwin's beloved "American in Paris," and experience the majestic beauty of Rome through Respighi's "Pines of Rome."
Tickets for this concert are $25 for adults and $5 for college students. Students in K-12 and young children are admitted free of charge. Season tickets are also available at $80 for adults and $75 for seniors.

Golden Gatherings Senior Fair Nov. 2
A Golden Gatherings Senior Fair is planned for Thu., Nov. 2, at the City of Kokomo's Senior Citizens Center, 721 W. Superior St., in Foster Park.
Learn about services available to seniors in the area at this event, featuring informational booths from 1st Care Home Health Services, Aperion Care, the City of Kokomo, Compassus, the Five Star Residences of Northwoods, Silver Birch Living of Kokomo, SouthernCare Hospice Services, and Trilogy Health Services.
Light refreshments and giveaways will be offered at the event.
