Unfinished trucks return to Kokomo
Former Delphi plant parking lots filled again with General Motors products
First, they were here. Then they were gone. Now they are back. The unoccupied parking lots at GM Components Holding Kokomo filled up with new Chevy and GMC pickups late last year as the global chip shortage made its effects known to the auto industry here in Indiana.
As the chip shortage started to ease worldwide, the trucks in Kokomo started to disappear. In May, there were only a handful left, and the parking lots emptied.
But now they are back.
