MONDAY
New Baby Bunch
Do you have a new bundle of joy? Or do you feel like you’re in the trenches of parenting? Join the New Baby Bunch for friendship, support, and to share your parenting journey with other caregivers. The group meets each Monday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library’s south branch, 1755 E. Center Road. The next meeting is Mon., Jan. 27. Homeschool Book Club

The Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department will hold a PJ Party on Fri., Feb. 28, from 7-9 p.m. Registration for this event runs from Jan. 27-Feb. 12, and the cost is $20 per child. There will be a viewing of The Secret Life of Pets, and there will be crafts and snacks. Drop-off no earlier than 6:45 p.m. This event is designed for children ages 5-11. The Year of the Snake

Select Student Works 2025
The Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery presents artworks in an exhibition hand-picked by faculty members to showcase students’ talent and creativity. Artwork created in various media, including digital, drawing, printmaking, painting, and more, will be on display. An opening reception will be held Wed., Jan 29, from 4-6 p.m., and the exhibition will continue through Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. The IUK Art Gallery, 2300 S. Washington St., is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Family Night at Silver Birch
The community is invited to join Silver Birch of Kokomo, 408 S. Washington St., for a special Family Night on Wed., Jan. 29, starting at 6 p.m. Enjoy an evening of entertainment by Jerry Armstrong, along with appetizers and beverages.
Kickboxing
The Kokomo Family YMCA, 114 N. Union St., offers Kickboxing with Joanna each Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. in the Y’s Functional Fitness Room. The class combines cardio, boxing, and martial arts to create a dynamic program. Punch and kick your way to a healthier you. This class is open to YMCA members. If you are homeless, please participate in the annual Point in Time census on Thu., Jan. 30. By visiting either the Kokomo Rescue Mission, 321 W. Mulberry St., or CAM, 625 N. Union St., you can be counted and receive a care package of supplies, including blankets, toiletries, hats, gloves, and more. The Point in Time survey is confidential and strictly voluntary. Celebrate women’s health with some rock ‘n roll on Fri., Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. as the UAW Local 685 Women’s Committee joins with Rhine Hall Event and Entertainment Venue, 507 N. Union St., to Go Red for Women. The evening will feature legendary local band The Time Travelers and dinner provided by The Local Catering Company.
