Meditation Mondays
Experience change, growth, and vitality through meditation with Raine and Sage Healing Center, 901 S. Courtland Ave. Sessions take place every first and third Monday of the month from 10-10:45 a.m. and are free to all. The next session takes place on Mon., April 21.
Hand Up Pantry
The Center Township Trustee’s Office has opened its Hand Up Food Pantry at the township office, 213 E. Jefferson St. The pantry is open every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. The goal is to serve those experiencing food insecurity. Participants must make an appointment by calling 765-452-8259. A photo ID or proof of address is required.
New Baby Bunch
Do you have a new bundle of joy? Or do you feel like you’re in the trenches of parenting? Join the New Baby Bunch for friendship, support, and to share your parenting journey with other caregivers. The group meets each Monday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library’s south branch, 1755 E. Center Road. The next meeting is Mon., April 21. Caregivers with a baby ages birth to 12 months are welcome to participate. Older siblings are welcome to join also.
Monday Fun Day
Story time is a valuable opportunity for your child to develop essential literacy, social, and creative skills. The Kokomo Howard County Public Library will hold a Monday Fun Day Story Time on Mon., April 21, from 10-11 a.m. at its Russiaville branch, 315 Mesa Dr., for children ages 3-5.
Sew Much
Teens and adults can drop in to learn sewing or quilting basics or get help with their projects at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library’s Sew Much event on Mon., April 21, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sewing machines provided. This event takes place at the library’s south branch, 1755 E. Center Road.
Recovery Café
Turning Point – A System of Care offers the Recovery Café, a time to connect with love, show respect, cultivate compassion, practice forgiveness, encourage growth, and to give something back. Board Game Night

Tennis and Pickleball Lessons
Registration opens on Mon., April 21, for tennis and pickleball lessons, organized by the Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department. Sessions will be held in Foster Park at the tennis court complex, beginning in June. The fee is $25 per session. Call 765-4565-7275 to register.

Mental Health Access Days
Are you an adult struggling with anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenge? Meet with a professional from 4C Health who can connect you to the support and services you need. Story Time – Peek-A-Boo Playdate

Senior Thesis Exhibition
Support the graduating NMAT students of Indiana University Kokomo in the Senior Thesis Exhibition. The exhibition will be open through May 15, and the reception will be held on Wed., April 23, from 4–6 p.m. The gallery, 2300 S. Washington St., is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and as always is free and open to the public.
Kitchen Chemistry

FSA Prevent Child Abuse Conference

YMCA $5,000 Dinner
On Friday, April 25, the Kokomo Family YMCA will host its annual $5,000 dinner. Join the Y at The Experience where you could win $5,000 in a reverse lottery. Join in for a chance to win while enjoying a buffet-style dinner by Angry Donkey, as well as a silent auction with more than 50 items and opportunities. The dinner will take place at The Experience, 1801 Country Club Dr. Doors open at 5 p.m. All proceeds go to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign which allows individuals and families access to the life-changing programs of the Y. Arbor Day Tree Giveaway
Stop by the Kokomo Howard County Public Library’s Russiaville branch, 315 Mesa Dr., on Fri., April 25, from 6-7 p.m. and Sat., April 26, from 10 a.m. until noon and pick up a free tree, while supplies last, in celebration of Arbor Day! The seed library will also be open so you can select seeds to plant as we look toward planting season. From 11 a.m. until noon on April 26, visitors also can learn about proper composting with worms.
Laser Tag at the Library
Gather your friends and get ready to dominate the competition at the Greentown Public Library, 421 S. Harrison St., as it hosts an evening of Laser Tag! Navigate the library aisles, and battle it out among the shelves on Fri., April 25, from 6-8 p.m. All equipment will be provided, and pizza and drinks will be served. The event is open to tweens and teens ages 12-18. Space is limited. Four sessions lasting 30 minutes each will be conducted, and no more than 20 participants will be allowed to participate in each session. Kokomo Bobkats Basketball
The Kokomo Bobkats will play a home game against the Lebanon Leprechauns on Fri., April 25, in the Haworth Gymnasium, 2501 S. Berkley Road. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Gates open one hour before tip-off. Medication Take-Back
Community Howard Regional Health is pleased to present a safe way to dispose of expired or unwanted medications. Drop off medications outside the main entrance of the Community Surgery Center, east side of Community Howard Regional Health, 3503 S. Reed Road, on Sat., April 26, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Security will be present to take back the medications. They will accept prescriptions, over-the-counter pills, liquid medications, vitamins, or pet medicines. They cannot accept mercury (thermometers), chemotherapy/radioactive substances, oxygen containers, pressurized containers/inhalers, needles/sharps, or illicit drugs. The Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department launches its summer programming a bit early this year, beginning with a Creature Feature – Silly Safaris – on Sat., April 26, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Kirkendall Nature Center in Jackson Morrow Park. Meet amazing animals and learn about their unique traits at this fun and free educational experience for all ages. This is also the first KPRD Park Passport-eligible event.

Tiny II Exhibition
The Kokomo Art Association will hold the Tiny II Exhibition through April 26. This exhibition will feature 2D artwork measuring no more than 8 square inches and 3D art measuring no more than 8 cubic inches. The exhibition takes place at the Kokomo Art Center, 525 W. Ricketts St.
Park Band Youth Opportunities
The Kokomo Park Band ignites a love for music in kids, supports growing musicians and empowers future pros to reach their full potential. Don't miss two incredible opportunities. Applications and submissions are due April 26. The Side-By-Side Project (June 10-11) allows advanced high school musicians to rehearse and perform alongside KPB members in a professional setting, culminating in a June 11 concert at Highland Park.
