Kokomo Bobkats Basketball
The Kokomo Bobkats will play a home game against the Logansport Iron Horses on Sun., May 4, in the Haworth Gymnasium, 2501 S. Berkley Road. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Gates open one hour before tip-off. Hand Up Pantry
The Center Township Trustee’s Office has opened its Hand Up Food Pantry at the township office, 213 E. Jefferson St. The pantry is open every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. The goal is to serve those experiencing food insecurity. Participants must make an appointment by calling 765-452-8259. A photo ID or proof of address is required.
New Baby Bunch
Do you have a new bundle of joy? Or do you feel like you’re in the trenches of parenting? Join the New Baby Bunch for friendship, support, and to share your parenting journey with other caregivers. The group meets each Monday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library’s south branch, 1755 E. Center Road. The next meeting is Mon., May 5. Caregivers with a baby ages birth to 12 months are welcome to participate. Older siblings are welcome to join also.
Meditation Mondays

Star Wars Story Time
Join other young Padawans for a special Star Wars-themed story time! Sew Much

Recovery Café
Turning Point – A System of Care offers the Recovery Café, a time to connect with love, show respect, cultivate compassion, practice forgiveness, encourage growth, and to give something back. Story Time – Peek-A-Boo Playdate

The next meeting is Tue., May 6, from 5-6 p.m. Teens will talk about what they liked about their book, what they didn't, and how it fits the theme.
Central Middle Dance Team Auditions
The Central Middle International School Dance Team will hold an audition clinic on Tue., May 6, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the CMIS Dance Studio. Enter through Door 10 on South Union Street. Learn the tryout routine and enhance your dance technique in preparation for auditions on May 13. The dance team is exclusive to Kokomo School Corp. middle school students. During the dance season, the team will practice once a week for two hours before participating in events and games, as well as in Indiana High School Dance Team Association competitions. CrisisReady Howard County
Summer heat is coming. Are you prepared? Join the Howard County Health Department on Thu., May 8, and learn how to stay cool, even when the power is out. Learn who is most at risk of suffering heat-related illnesses, as well as what signs to look for and how to respond. This educational session will take place at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library, 220 N. Union St., from 5:30-7 p.m. Free preparedness items and resources will be available to participants. After the presentation, receive your CPR certification (BLS) while learning how to apply rescue breaths, compressions, and how to use an AED. CPR is a life-saving first aid skill. There is not an age limit, but participants must be able to pass a written test and skills check. Registration is required for this portion of the event. Combined Golf Outing
Kokomo Young Life and DADCAMP have teamed up to present the inaugural Combined Golf Outing on Fri., May 9, at Wildcat Creek Golf Course, 3200 Timber Valley Dr. Registration opens at 11:30 a.m., and the silent auction opens. Lunch is served at 12:15 p.m., and the tournament begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. An awards ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $100 per individual and $400 for a team of four. The fourth annual Spring Fling and Hot Rod Machines car show fundraiser, benefitting Disabled American Veterans Chapter 28, will take place Sat., May 10, at Button Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, 1220 E. Curtain Call Auditions
Registration is open now for audition time slots with Curtain Call Theatre for Children as it prepares to present Joseph and His Technicolor Dreamcoat. Auditions will take place Sat., May 10, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Curtain Call Studio, 2114 N. Armstrong St. Anyone interested in auditioning must sigh up for a time slot. Each audition is 30 minutes and will include up to 10 people. Each person auditioning should prepare a song of two minutes or less to perform individually in front of the casting team.
