MONDAY
Hand Up Pantry
The Center Township Trustee’s Office has opened its Hand Up Food Pantry at the township office, 213 E. Jefferson St. The pantry is open every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. The goal is to serve those experiencing food insecurity. Participants must make an appointment by calling 765-452-8259. A photo ID or proof of address is required.
New Baby Bunch
Do you have a new bundle of joy? Or do you feel like you’re in the trenches of parenting? Join the New Baby Bunch for friendship, support, and to share your parenting journey with other caregivers. The group meets each Monday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library’s south branch, 1755 E. Center Road. The next meeting is Mon., Feb. 17. Caregivers with a baby ages birth to 12 months are welcome to participate. Older siblings are welcome to join also.
Meditation Mondays

Core and Glutes Burn
New class alert! The Kokomo Family YMCA, 114 N. Union St., presents Core and Glutes Burn on Mondays at 5:35 p.m. in the TRX area. Your core and glutes are essential for supporting your body, so give them the attention they deserve. In this 30-minute class, you will focus on exercises that target your core and strengthen your posterior chain using unilateral movements. This targeted approach will help prepare you for improved movement in the future. Recycled Art Exhibition
The Kokomo Art Association is putting out the call to artists for a juried Recycled Art Exhibition. Applications can be found and submitted at www.kaaonline.org . Up to three pieces of art may but submitted by each artist. Read the submission criteria closely. Submission fee is $25. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, along with a People’s Choice award. Drop off and pick of artwork will be completed in person. No shipping. The deadline to submit is Feb. 17. The exhibition will run from March 7 until April 25. An opening reception will be held on March 7 from 5:30-8 p.m., and an awards reception will be held on April 4 from 5:30-8 p.m. The exhibition will be housed at the Artworks Gallery, 210 N. Black History Expo
Kokomo High School’s Bring Change to Mind and Diversity Club will present a Black History EXPO on Tue., Feb. 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Kokomo High School. Use Door 1 to access the facility. The event will feature student performances and works, and interactive Hall of Inventions, and food catered by the Kokomo Area Career Center’s Culinary Program. This event is free to the community, but donations are welcome.

Learn, Grow, Eat, and Go!
The Carver Community Center and Purdue Extension – Howard County have teamed up to offer Learn, Grow, Eat, and Go! This program grows good kids through an interdisciplinary program, combining academic achievement, gardening, nutrient-dense food experiences, physical activities, and school and family engagement. This program is open to students in grades K-2 and takes place on Wed., Feb. 19 and Feb. 26 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The registration fee is $5 per session. Select Student Works 2025
The Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery presents artworks in an exhibition hand-picked by faculty members to showcase students’ talent and creativity. Artwork created in various media, including digital, drawing, printmaking, painting, and more, will be on display. The exhibition will continue through Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. The IUK Art Gallery, 2300 S. Washington St., is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Teen Writers’ Group

Date Night Kokomo
Better Together will host a Date Night on Fri., Feb. 21, from 6-9 p.m. at Northwoods Church, Kokomo Campus, 3409 S, CR 200 W. This date night will feature a livestream performance by America’s Got Talent winner and magician Dustin Tavella. Tickets are $35 per person or $70 per couple. Fasten your seatbelts for a hilarious journey into the chaotic and comedic life of Bernard and his flight attendant fiancées! Kokomo Civic Theatre will present Boeing Boeing, a laugh-out-loud farce you won’t want to miss. Community Baby Shower

Walk a Mile
Walk a Mile in My Shoes, the annual fundraising walk that supports women and children at the Kokomo Rescue Mission, 321 W. Mulberry St., takes place Sat., Feb. 22, from 8:30-11 a.m. The one-mile route will include tours of the mission’s women’s shelters, Watered Garden Shelter (women) and Open Arms Shelter (women and children). The opening ceremony will take place in the gravel parking lot at the corner of Taylor and Armstrong streets. Breakfast will be available at Grace United Methodist Church from 8:30-11 a.m. Open Arms will also host a warming center with hot chocolate. Circus Carnival

Farmers and Artisans Winter Market
The Greentown Main Street Association and the Greentown Farmers’ Market will sponsor a February Farmers’ and Artisans’ Winter Market on Sat., Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Don’t let the winter blues get you down. Head to the Greentown Lions Club Metal Building (the north white building), 850 N. Meridian St., Greentown, where local vendors will have their wares on display. There also will be a donation raffle and food available for purchase. Proceeds from this event will help support future Greentown downtown events.
